He has no shame. He's got a blind spot a mile wide for this guy and nothing he does on the field seems to change it.

What happened today is a direct result of being more vested in Brian Hoyer's well being than that of the other 52 guys. He told the team to fuck themselves because he would rather lose than see Hoyer on the bench.

If Hoyer starts next week I seriously won't watch another Browns game the rest of the year. That was just so fucking pathetic and cundiff better be cut

Hopefully Hoyer has been humbled after this week. I would have thought so last week, but his "this is my team" diatribe in the post game bought him another week so who knows.

Pettine should announce at the presser this won't be allowed to continue.

How does Cundiff still have a job? He cost us this game among other reasons.

Rizzo is railing on Pettine right now thankfully.

He has gotten a free pass, and now his judgment is finally being questioned.

Pettine:

I didn't consider a change during the game.

You don't change QB's in the middle of a game that you're winning.

If we had not had the Crowell score, we MIGHT have seen a change after the half.

That score guaranteed riding the old horse the rest of the way.

How do you miss a kick in 5 straight games and still have a job. Unreal

When asked about Hoyer's play by Withers:

"did not play well enough to win. ENTIRE TEAM did not play well enough to win."
Haslam needs to relieve him of his duty if he is that delusional.

The defense could not have done anymore.

This was not a team loss, it was a Pettine/Hoyer loss.

The defense could've not allowed the Colts to drive 90 yards to win the game.

Where was the Johnny package? He could have put it in at anytime during the game just to give Indy something to think about . You could have hardly asked the defense to play any better. We win this game with an average QB or an average FG kicker... SMH.

They got 14 points and 4 turnovers today.

Any help from the offense and they win going away. I will not put this loss on them.

I'm not putting the loss on them, but you said the defense couldn't have done any better, when in fact they could've.

Defense was on the field the entire second half and a bullshit PI call on Skrine really hurt. Hell the "roughing the QB" on Kruger was on 3rd and long outside of FG range earlier in the 4th.

Bottom line, the offense didn't do a single thing to help the D, they should've put it away in the 3rd and didn't.

Seeing reports that in the post game press conference Hoyer took almost no responsibility for the loss and that was talking about it being a "team" loss just like Pettine.

How do those 2 have the balls to look any of the defensive guys in the face saying stuff like that.

Will Pettine use the "we hammered Cincy in Cincy with Hoyer" and start him again next week?

I still think it's 50/50 on who starts. I also think the Browns win next week regardless of who plays QB.

Manziel's an asshat, but I do think it's time to give him a shot...that being said, Iggy's an asshat as well.

This.

My dad told me along time ago that when you make horrible decisions in life you have to live by them and face the consequences. Drive drunk, hit on 14 when the dealer shows a six, start a quarterback with an average QR rating of 52 and expect a different result,,,and so on. The brilliant Kyle Shanahan designed 2 plays in particular today that had Josh Gordon streaking 10 yards in the clear and Hoyer not only missed him...but missed him by 10 yards. A decent high school quarterback will connect there.
