Guess it really depends on how Gordon performs when he returns and if he's here long term. If he falls off the wagon again, plays like shit or bolts in FA, Schefter is right.like_that;1668398 wrote:Adam Schefter is an idiot http://www.dawgsbynature.com/2014/10/28/7085983/josh-gordon-vs-adam-schefter

I know you are not a gordon fan, but there is no argument that tweet by Schefter is just fucking stupid. It's border line trolling.BR1986FB;1668453 wrote:Guess it really depends on how Gordon performs when he returns and if he's here long term. His contract isn't even up until next season, and at the worst, the Browns would tag him.

Who said I'm not a Gordon fan? I want him back on the field as much as anyone but do I think he's going to stay clean for a prolonged period of time? No. I think he would've been a difference maker between an "L" and a "W" in the first Pittsburgh & Baltimore games.like_that;1668465 wrote:I know you are not a gordon fan, but there is no argument that tweet by Schefter is just fucking stupid. Schefter went full retard, and that doesn't happen too often.

He's already been clean for a prolonged period of time, hence all of the passed drug tests.BR1986FB;1668467 wrote: I want him back on the field as much as anyone but do I think he's going to stay clean for a prolonged period of time?
Not saying you can't be concerned about it, but the dude has shown progress.

Right. He passed 75 drug tests leading up to his "failing" this year.lhslep134;1668511 wrote:He's already been clean for a prolonged period of time, hence all of the passed drug tests.

The guy doesn't have a "problem". He smokes weed. It's legal in two states now. It's not like he's shooting up heroin. He's trying to stop smoking weed and quite frankly I don't give a fuck if he does or not as long as he avoids failing drug tests and plays on Sunday's.

If your chances of making tens of millions of dollars is dependent upon you not smoking weed, and you can't help yourself, you have a problem.SportsAndLady;1668525 wrote:Right. He passed 75 drug tests leading up to his "failing" this year.

Yeah, Bitonio is playing like a seasoned vet. Thomas started out strong as a rookie (having Steinbach next to him didn't hurt), while Mack started a little slow, if I recall. Bitonio has had the benefit of being sandwiched between the both of them but I can't remember a rookie O-Lineman, in a Browns uni, making a smoother transition from college to the pros like Bitonio.

That actually was a great read, everyone should read it. Great insight into the adjustment from college to the pros.BR1986FB;1668569 wrote:More Bitonio from Peter King's MMQB (good read).....

No. Not like Bitonio. You hardly ever hear Bitonio's name being called for a penalty. Seems like Thomas has two a week. It may seem biased, and he likely won't make it as a rook, but Bitonio would have my Pro Bowl vote.like_that;1668601 wrote:Joe Thomas.

Left tackle is much tougher than playing guard. JT made the Pro Bowl as an alternate in his rookie year. Set the bar pretty high for Bitonio.BR1986FB;1668605 wrote:No. Not like Bitonio. Running behind the left sign in 2007 lewis avg more than middle or right side. Nice try though.BR1986FB;1668620 wrote:I forgot that people can't say anything the least negative about his sorry run blocking ass or they get chastised. LOL
