Well coming of the win against the Raiders the browns are 4-3 and right in the thick of things in the AFCN. The Bucs are not a very good team, so hopefully our offense can get in sync before the Thursday night showdown with the Bengals.

Will Jordan Cameron be ready to go? Can Haden stay hot Vs the big wide outs? And maybe just maybe we can see our running backs get some room to make something happen.

Bucs 17
Browns 24

We move to 5-3 and that makes Thursday nights showdown even bigger. But let's take of business this week dawgs!

Whos going to the game?

I think the Browns relapse and Tampa beats them at home. And this isn't a "reverse jinx" post. If the offense comes out like they did against Oakland, Tampa will win this.

I will be flying into cleveland this week to go to this game. My friend lives in the same condo as gordon and his neighbor is phil Taylor.

Any suggestions for restaurants in downtown Cleveland? Heard a lot has changed over the last 2 years.

As for the game, I expect more of the same from the last two games. Hopefully the Browns make the one or two plays that win it for them.

I just went to some Irish Pub right by QLA a few weeks ago. Good craft beer selection. Decent food (Fish/Chips).

If you're getting in before Thursday, it looks like Knoitall is selling his Cavs tix for Thursday night. :D

Can the Browns escape the basement this week?

For all the talk I hear about how we can't go away from Hoyer we currently would be out of the playoffs and are in last place in our division. If we aren't going to the playoffs anyway at least we should be seeing what we have in Johnny.

Enjoy Jordan Cameron's talent while you can. Three concussions in two seasons does not bode well for a long career.

Do I think they are going to make the playoffs? No, but they are only 1/2 game out of the division lead. If Hoyer shits the bed in the next two games and they are 4-5 going into Houston, THEN you may make the move to Manziel. You don't pull the plug on a QB who has you 1/2 game out of the division lead and in the best shape (record-wise) since the 2007 season.

Plus he thinks he's on for a big pay day.

I can't see this happening. Good player but too high risk with the concussion issues.

So maybe draft a TE high this year? I don't want to draft one to develop one like Cameron. Or ill have to check the free agent list when I get time.

But I agree with BR. if Hoyer shits the bed the next two games start Manziel against Houston. Props to Hoyer for hold Manziel off as long as he has, he definitely proved me wrong. But its only a matter of WHEN not IF when JFF takes over.

I've already started thinking about their needs in the coming draft. A legit TE is probably one of them. It's nice to actually think about the draft without it being "well, the seasons already over, time to talk draft" eight weeks into the season.

Wonder if the browns will make a move at the trade line. I'd love for them to add Vincent Jackson. Bucs want a 2nd rounder but I think a 3rd would get it done. Could you imagine Jackson Gordon Cameron ( when healthy) and Hawkins I the slot? There would be no more stacking the box. If the Browns are serious about the AFCN I think they need to make a move for a wide out.

Imagine hoyer throwing deep to Jackson instead of Travis Benjamin?

I am not a proponent of trades or big FA signings in NFL, but Vincent Jackson makes a ton of sense for this team.

Same. They never work out. Still I wouldn't QQ too hard at a 3rd for vjax. Rather a 5th though.

You almost never see legit trades at the deadline so I'll be surprised if the Browns make any moves.

As an aside, I heard Pettine's press conference yesterday and some reporter asked him if the Browns had reached out to Josh Cribbs to bring him back as a return guy. Pettine paused (I actually thought he was gonna laugh) and said "no, we haven't reached out to Josh."
