If you get the flu, you'll probably spend a good part of 7 days wishing you felt well enough to kick yourself for not getting the shot.

A bunch of people I know that got the shot still end up getting sick over the winter year after year. I haven't had the flu in a decade. I'll take my chances.

That is anecdotal, and there is absolutely no science behind that, but it is always a common excuse for not getting one...almost an urban legend status.

Flu shots protect you against the most common kind of severe flu...the kind that'll lay you up for a week plus. a lot of 24hour and 3 day virus get labelled 'flu', but they are not what you are getting immunized against.
