You said “countries with no infrastructure” we have a competent establish in place “infrastructure” no thanks to Obama. The fact that Obama was willing to risk a population and exploit an untested medical infrastructure is irresponsible actions.
The present infrastructure was able to provide the required medical support to for a few cases, (with errors in operation procedures) was that Obama doing .. No. He didn’t build it…
At what point of Obama decision process could have turned deadly of a few lives or a population and an economic cluster fuck? That didn't happen so Obama get the credit for making bad decision and saving the American people. No
Except medical professionals weren't nearly as panicked as political hacks trying to get their name recognized and jumping on a sensationalized news story. Thankfully Obama actually listened to recommendations of experts and did what a leader should do and rely on advisers and experts then make a rational decision.
Cutting off travel from these countries or quarantine would hurt the efforts of slowing down and dealing with the epidemic in Africa which is in the best interests of not only those people there but us here as well.
Now I don't solely blame political hacks, but I put more blame on our current news media which is more concerned about scaring the general public in the attempt to grab ratings and bow down to the all mighty dollar instead of responsible reporting. Greed will be the ultimate downfall of this country as we our so wrapped up with our capitalistic ideals that we are slowly handing everything over to corporate america and becoming ever more so concerned with the bottom line.
Hopefully we start to see more social responsibility from those with all the money.
