About 6-8 years ago on Easter morning an elderly, somewhat mentally disabled, Russian guy from about two blocks away, who I had never spoken to....knocked on my front door with a bowl of eggs and asked me if I would make him egg salad.

I was living about 4 doors down from my best friend at an apartment complex, but I wasn't directly involved at all.

But, some dude got into his and his wife's apartment (picked lock or something) and just came inside. Buddy was in the shower and he comes out and the dude is standing over his bed with his wife in it. He tells him to get the fuck out and said the guy seemed fucked up mentally and just didn't do anything. He wasn't threatening, but just kind of stood there and looked/acted confused.

Finally leaves ve sand they watch him go and get into a car that is running (delivery or something) and drive off. My friend calls the police and they arrest him.

6 months later my friend finishes Academy and joins the police force and finds out the guy was deported back to the Middle East and is on the no fly list lol.

Anyways. Through random circumstances I was an angel investor in cakefarter.com and made a decent amount of money from it.

Scary

I would have to say that "random" seem to a frequency event in my life. Some scary, crazy and even funny at the time, looking back better me than someone else.

Probably having a friend call me at 1am on a Thursday in college and ask me if I was down for a road trip. I said fuck it why not. 10 minutes later he picks me up and tells me to grab some clothes and just throw them in the back seat since I don't have any bag. After I get in the car he tells me were going to Baltimore for the Preakness to party. While driving we look up on Facebook what friends we have that live in the area and find a ex girlfriend of his that lives in DC. We crash at her house the party our ass off at the Preakness and drive home.

I got stuck in a Blizzard in Calhoun, Georgia.

Stopped by a dealership to talk to the owner about some business for just a few minutes.
Came out and my car was gone. Looked down by the lake to see if i didnt put the parking break on and maybe it rolled into there.

Dealership guy was calling the police and asked the specifics of my car. (red honda at the time) He hung up the phone. Got on the radio and called the shop guys.

His workers were to bring a red hondafrom the lot to the shop and get the muffler replaced.

My car, at red honda, was sitting out front, running, and you could tell it needed a new muffler. (muffler place was my next stop to drop off for the afternoon).

Shoulda waited about an hour more and they would have had the muffler fixed for me!

Went in to court and the judge said there were several warrants out for my arrest. She wanted to push the issue until she saw the description of the perp was a 5'3" 135 lb black male. I'm very white, am over 6 foot and about twice that weight. Someone was using my SSN.

My house got robbed while I was sleeping. My roommate woke up to two black dudes standing over his bed holding his laptop and asked my roommate to throw him his phone. My roommate did. They ran out.
