Anything the government gets without your knowledge regarding your phone, isn't stored on your phone. when the government really goes through your phone, its because they seized it was evidence. and search warrants aren't without your knowledge. search warrants require notification be made.

After watching the "bend test" the guy did with the 6 plus, (which by its length would be more susceptible to bending) the amount of pressure he had to put on it to get it to bend would indicate that the "front pocket" bend is next to impossible. More likely these people are putting it in their back pocket and sitting on it....which clearly falls under the heading of "Serves you right, dumbass."

I remember when Motorola first added Kevlar to the back of their phone, the engineer said they went with Kevlar because they needed something thin that was durable. If they went plastic, it wouldn't give a quality feel, and if they went with aluminum it would be too malleable at that thinness. Guess this is the exact problem they were trying to avoid.

On the test video, the guy's hands were literally shaking as he was trying to bend the phone. If you're saying that the front pocket can cause that level of pressure, then I don't know what to tell ya. :huh:

Anyone who's actually watched the 'bend videos' can easily see the distinctive force that these people are exerting on the iPhone 6 Plus to 'prove' their point. In no way is any amount of pressure even remotely close to that ever going to happen from just 'sitting in one's front pocket'.

If you make something thin enough out of aluminum, it wouldn't be that hard to bend. I don't think many people are bending their phones on purpose so there must be at least a bit of truth in these stories. Also, from what I have seen, the complaints are for small bends in the phone. The videos from review sites that I have seen were taking it a step further and seeing how far they could bend the phone.

Exactly. The video was made in an effort to bend the phone by quite a bit and to do it quickly. They exert a large amount of pressure to bend it quickly. But a small amount of pressure over an extended period of time can have the same effect.

I tend to leave my jacket on a coat rack or on a chair when I get somewhere. I would not want to leave my phone in my jacket pocket unless I'm going to be wearing the jacket the whole time.

No, I'd rather spend hundreds of dollars on a phone and then complain when it breaks from me being a dumbass. Spending another $30ish on a case is for poor people.
