Well the Bills are 2-0. They better not pull 8+ wins out of their ass.

Show me where I "completely changed my stance?"

Yes, they looked improved but I still think they are a middle of the road/mediocre team. Would love to see differently but I doubt they are going to overwhelm a lot of teams by running the ball and virtually no vertical passing game.

Wow, what a fucking game. That game sent me into a drunken blur I haven't a clue what happened after 3 pm.

-very very happy with our WRs. Miles Austin caught some very huge balls. And Andrew Hawkins was a beast out there. He was open almost seamlessly.

-Brian hoyer, like Jaws said, deserves a parade after that game winning drive. I mean talk about pressure. He doesn't convert that 4th down, not only do we lose, but the fans start calling for his job to be pulled. I mean talk about pressure. And he fucking nailed the passes he needed to make. There's no more QB controversy. Hoyer is the man.

-very happy with our defense although as the game went on they wore down. Dansby could be the pickup of the year. Need to put together a full game but that first quarter was fantastic I think they held NO to 9 yards.

-thought Pettine and shanahan called a good game. Not sure what they were doing putting manziel in there and I probably would have gone for that 4th down in the middle of the 4th quarter.

-and most importantly, notice how iggy and footwedge didn't post yesterday? Lmao

Yet there are still assholes that think the game would've been a "laugher" had Manziel started this game. SMDH.....

Another thought, which may have been mentioned, is that it looks like this coaching staff might have their shit together. Last week they actually "adjusted" against Pittsburgh at halftime. When was the last time THAT happened? Plus, Pettine completely outcoached Peyton yesterday. Again, I think this is a middle of the road team but it looks like there could be some positives....

Sounds like a bunch of tards.

What'd you think of the game BR? Excited yet or fluke win?

I'll keep my enthusiasm tempered. So far, Pettine is doing a lot of "right" things. No Gordon, no Tate, no Cameron? No problem! It takes a helluva game plan to take a journeyman QB with a rag tag group of WR's and two rookie RB's to beat one of the teams that many predicted to go to the Super Bowl.

I like what I'm seeing, so far. I just hope that Hoyer keeps gaining more & more confidence. Hopefully that will shut up some of the JFF lovers so he can sit and learn until it's time.

The additions of Dansby & Whitner can't be underestimated. They bring a needed swagger to this defense that they haven't had in awhile. I'm still concerned about their run D, which I thought was going to be a strength.

As usual, with the Browns, they will live & die by QB play.

They showed that clip of Peyton's coaching debut back in 2006 against the Browns. I remember that game vividly. First play of the game, Charlie Frye hits Braylon with a bomb for a TD only to be called back by a Kevin Shaffer holding penalty. Browns were supposed to beat the dismal Saints that day. Peyton's debut was the turning point for the Saints. Hopefully, this Browns victory, with the new HC, will start that process for the Browns.

Sure as Hell is nice to walk into work on Monday riding a "W" than the usual. :D

Of course not. Iqqy was nowhere to be seen last year when they started 3-2. He is just a piece of shit.

As for my thoughts (positives and negatives)

-defense came out strong and looked good..... Annnnnd then they stopped putting pressure on Brees and Brees remembered nobody can cover graham one on one. I don't think many teams can stop the saints offense if they give Brees all day to throw. Id like to know what Kruger and dansby graded out. They looked good yesterday. Gilbert had a much better game too IMO.

-offense looked good too. Just enough to win, and pretty impressive without Cameron. Hoyer had some shitty throws and worries me when he throws off his back foot, but last year weeden would have gone 4 and out (or an int) on that last drive. Crowell and West looked good splitting carries. They really opened it up for our shitty WRs. If only we had a star pro bowl WR.... Smfh

-I like pettine. I really hope these guys buy into what he is trying to do. Two weeks now and these guys fought until the end. The best part is pettine wants no business with moral victories. The last few years we would have heard from shurmur or Chud how they fought and battled hard. Pettine last week said it's a pass/fail league, and they failed. Much rather have a coach like that.

Looking ahead to the ravens this upcoming Sunday. I think this is a better matchup for the browns defense. They aren't going against a top WR in the league nor a mobile quarterback. The ravens have had extra time to prepare though. Apparently this is about the 6th time the ravens played the browns with extra preparation time. Kinda bullshit, but it's esrly enough in the year where extra time isn't as valuable. Would be nice to get to the bye week at 2-1.

Shook, hurry up and make the fucking thread.

I would also like to add the defense still needs to work on third and long situations. I was happy they learned how to defend a fucking screen though.

NOs Def sucked yesterday. Ravens won't give it up so easy but I'm not sure Flacco can keep his Def off the field long enough to help them out.

The fact that the browns adjusted from steelers to saints and learned how to defend a fucking screen pass is good news. You could tell saints were looking to exploit it to since they ran it on the first play.

Hoyer still looked like shit through most of the game but got up when it mattered. Also speaking of shitty qb play, manziels throw was a duck. Took 10 yrs to get there. Lucky it wasn't picked.

After that is when hoyer got his arm out of his ass tho so I liked it.

As I predicted, it's 2007 all over again and they have fucked up the long term future of the franchise.

This is DA/Quinn all over again, and we will see the fallout next year and it will set the franchise back.

Hoyer will win just enough games they can't run him out of town, but Ray Charles can see he is not the long term answer.

Congrats Farmer and Pettine, you've traded long term success for short term gain.

What an awesome atmosphere it was yesterday. It felt Horseshoe like at times. If anyone finds the intro video they used before the game it's a must watch. The narrator was a nice touch too. He'll be playing at the Q soon.

Interesting.....better to have your rookie QB in and get blown out than to have a veteran in there and win. Guess it's all about "my QB better play or I'm gonna hold my breath until he does!" Nice to see we have two groups, "Johnny Manziel fans" and "Cleveland Browns fans." smdh

@brentsobleski: Looking thru some status this morning, and what team is the highest rated squad on offense per @PFF? The Cleveland Browns by +8.2

No, the JFF nuthuggers are BEYOND delusional. The ones I've run across think that he'd be lighting up defenses and these games would be cakewalks. Believe me, I know that I supported Weeden for WAY too long but the Manziel sack riders are just comical....and let me make it clear that I think JFF is going to be good, but not yet.

Exactly. Manziel just needs to sit and learn. The physical talent is there he just needs to get the mental part of the game down. I doubt we see Manziel start a game for the browns this year unless hoyer gets hurt
