The funny thing is it's Goodells ego that's gonna get him. If he would have not changed their stance when the video was released and just admitted the NFL didn't have a policy and based on the leagues history 2 games was the norm. He then decided it was wrong and wrote a much tougher policy. Instead he couldn't handle the criticism and when the video came out he saw that as a chance to look good to the public.

I have read and heard that Rice and his wife told the League and the Ravens that basically he pushed her and she fell and hit her head.
