I think now that the smoke has cleared and a number of bodies have been dragged from the rubble, I would have to say that Ohio State is a better football team than Cincinnati. I would even include the obvious loss of continuity with coach Kelly suddenly leaving and all that goes with that. I would also say, however, that the Bearcats did themselves proud and represented themselves, their conference, and the State of Ohio in an exemplary fashion and should be congratulted by everyone on their outstanding season. I said it early in the season and I'll repeat it now. I think it was fantastic that the Buckeye State had two such talented football teams representing us this past year and into the Bowl Season.

Way to go, folks.
Sad, but true. I hate even reading through all the garbage on here.

LOL at this thread. Nine pages of OSU fans calling UC the chittiest team to ever play college football and Notre Dame fans playing Devil's Advocate. Not one UC fan (up to now) to argue either way. Freaking hilarious!

Because all the UC fans went away after their coach left the program and they knew they were going to get stomped.

During the year all we heard was how great UC was and how they were going to become the dominant team in Ohio. UC fans didn't even have a game thread on here and now we don't have to hear about UC anymore when talking football.

Although there is no way that Cincy should be ranked higher than OSU, it still amazes me that so many Ohio State fans belittle the Bearcats. Hey, they're from Ohio and they had a terrific season, just like the Buckeyes did. Why the attitude toward them? The two teams don't play each other so we should be proud of both schools for what they accomplished this season.

And you're still not arguing either way. Looks more like complaining to me. ;)

I have issue with this one, there is no way that you can't have Akron Men's Soccer at #3... and the Cincitucky Men's Soccer at #5, drop Cincitucky Football to #6...

OSU played great in their bowl game, UC didn't. UC looked pretty bad. They couldn't find a rhthym on offense and their defense was outmatched. Yes, i'm a UC fan. I said it. Not the end of the world though. UC has come a long way. They won't go 8-4 next year like one of the posters said ealier. Look at their roster and tell me they won't be even better on the offensive side of the ball next year. Defense can only improve. They were super young this year and it showed in the Florida game. They play a very beatable Oklahoma early in the year, Pitt will be strong, and WVU shouldn't be too shabby either. I think that UConn will impress a lot of people next year too. They looked good against South Carolina. The future is bright and I have my sun glasses on.

Enjoy the moment OSU fans. At some point OSU will lose a big one in a bad way and you will get it from all sides once again. I only ask that you take it like a man and don't make excuses, I didn't.

Oklahoma will NOT have down year like they did this year, especially with their QB having a year of experience under his belt now... that and Norman is a VERY tough place to win

The game is being played at PBS. UC played in Norman in 2008.

The truth is there were/are only a handful of "UC fans" on the pay site and on this one. The people who did most of the trash talking were not even UC fans (ie. FrankPatang), they just talked smack to fire you up.

you're so full of shit.

Cincy wins a WEAK Big East with marquee wins over a Pitt team who squeaked by North Carolina in the bowl game and also lost to 4-8 NC State, Illinois, who went 4-8, and Oregon st. who lost the civil war then went and got blasted by BYU in the Vegas Bowl.

Bucks win the Rose Bowl and yeah, Purdue should have never happened but nobody saw that shit coming from USC.
isnt that the same North Carolina team that beat miami , the team you say is so good on the other thread

In case you haven't realized, the other thread is about NEXT YEAR'S schedule, not this year. So Miami losing to North Carolina THIS YEAR really has no bearing on how Miami is going to be NEXT YEAR.

That is true but it works both ways. Using your logic, how can anyone say Miami will be good next year based on the success they had this year?? It's odd that as soon as a team is on OSU's schedule, they immediately turn into a national title contender.

I know this is hard for you to grasp, but not just Ohio State fans are saying Miami should be a Title Contender next season. Just because they are on the Buckeye schedule, isn't the reason. Fact is they have a very young team, and most of their stars are coming back, they should be in line for a big season next year.

LOL, it has nothing to do with them being on OSU's schedule. They'll likely be ranked in the top 10 to start the season next year--does that not say that they're a contender? They have A LOT returning, including a VERY talented QB. Expectations are high for Miami next year.
