OSU will definately finish higher in the polls. I think OSU could end up going as high as 4 or 5 if the cards fall together right.

Unless the National Title Game is an absolute dead lock, Florida finishes #2 behind the winner of that game and the loser is at least #3

People rip on Cinci for getting killed by Florida, but do OSU fans remember 06 against Florida when you were supposedly dominant? 41-14?

When was the last time UC finished in the final poll ranked higher than OSU ???????
I would be surprised if UC has ever finished ahead of Ohio St.

And Ohio State jumps the undefeated Boise-TCU winner? You're out of your gord

Cincy isn't getting outcoached in this game like OSU did that night; Cincy just simply doesn't have the talent to compete. That's two completely different things

if TCU wins they'll be #4. Like I said, probably #4 or #5.

And it wouldn't suprise me if the Bucks DID hop the winner of that game. The pollsters have done crazier things before

That doesnt matter. OSU was ranked #1 and was a huge favorite to win that game. That's a bigger embarrassment then a #3 cinci getting beat by a #5 Florida when everyone knew UF would stomp them.

Again, nobody discounts that it was a huge embarrassment; I'm just pointing that little tidbit out

It happened twice this year. Let's call a spade a spade, USC wasn't a very good team this year. Tress snatched defeat from the jaws of victory that game

My rebuttal is, how many teams that have been great, and won a LOT of football games over the years have dropped to mediocre or worse teams?

I mean USC has what, 4 game losing streak each season to a less than stellar Pac-10 team on the road?

Florida lost to Ole Miss last season and went on the win a NC game.

Prior to this season, the only teams OSU was losing too were top 10 football teams, Texas, USC, Florida, LSU, etc.
Yeah no argument here. Just stating the reason why I feel that a lot of people were seriously considering UC to be better

While OSU was a significantly better team offensively, Florida was a much better team in 2006 than now. Their defense was absolutely dominant (not that they aren't great this year, but Alabama really exposed them).

I'm not trying to make excuses, but it's clear that Florida was a much better team in 2006, than 2009. I mean how many close calls did Florida have this season?

Yep, OSU will be ranked ahead of UC......Once again....don't get me wrong I coached two kids off last years UC good team and two off this years team (4 total) , but they aren't on OSU's level. OSU is much much deeper and has a much better defense....I wish OSU has UC's O-Coord though.

I do think it's unreasonable to say OSU is undoubtedly the best team. Can u for sure say OSU beats UC on a neutral site?

No haha you can't. But all the evidence suggests that they would.

Not for sure. But I think the odds would be in OSU's favor strictly because of the defense.

The biggest knock on UC's offense was that they had not faced a talented team defensively. Like I said, Rutgers was the best defense they played statistically speaking, and Rutgers was helped out a lot by playing 2 FCS teams and 2 teams 3 years removed from the FCS.

There are no guarantees in college football, so it's be unreasonable to say that OSU would for sure win.

This hasn't even been a valid argument all season. And like I said, Cincy is getting destroyed against an actual good opponent. The Big East is and has been overrated.

UC's defense is undersized and was exposed( most particularly by UCONN) when they faced a big offensive line that could run the football. OSU handled Oregon's high powered offense tonight; I'd like to think they could handle Cincy's

A Pitt team that lost to a 4-8 NC State team(WAY worse than any loss OSU had this year, Purdue started playing good football towards the end of the year) and laid an egg @ Morgantown

One team has one loss, to Florida

Other has two losses, to Purdue and USC.

Forget the names on the front of the jerseys, who's better???

OSU finally beats someone in a bowl game and now they are world beaters, acting like they don't know what it's like to get embarrassed by Florida on national TV.

41-14, 58-24. Not a world of difference in those scores.
