The difference is that the 2006 Florida team was elite on both sides of the ball. The 2009 Florida team was exposed a lot this season, and that's inarguable.

Nobody is saying that OSU is dominant and the best team ever, or anything like that. We are just excited to win our BCS game.

Amazes me that ANY ND fan it talking trash at all to be honest. But the two that do quite often, its not surprising.
Great year for UC. They have nothing to be ashamed of. But lets be honest, when your defense is NOT GOOD, you aren't going to be able to compete against the elite, perennial top 10 teams. This game went pretty much how I thought it would.
Its a shame that the coaches for both teams took the spotlight away. I think if Kelly had been there, and if Urban didn't turn the spotlight on himself, the game could have been a little closer.

As far as OSU vs UC. We'll never know. But I think we have a pretty good idea how OSU might do defensively vs UC based on what we say today vs Oregon. And I think the OSU offense would run over a not so good UC defense.

compound a not good defense with an undersized defense and you're going to have matchup problems with certain teams.... they ran into a buzzsaw tonight

The reason the subject of Florida came up is because nearly every Ohio State fan here is ready to throw Cincy to the wolves. Ohio State is above being destroyed by Florida???

Oregon is not that great of a win. They beat USC, OSU, and Arizona. They all were feasting on a weak pack 10.

It is okay with me if you want to be happy about your big win. I'm not in the Ohio State thread rainingg on your parade. This is about the Ohio teams.

Go ahead and name those "many" instances. I know there have been comebacks, but not as many from 20+ points as you would think. But I'm ready for you to list them.

The reason why we are throwing Cincy to the Wolves is because with the shit schedule they played, they didn't deserve a Sugar Bowl bid. It was very clear that if their defense couldn't even stop Illinois, why would they be able to stop Florida or Alabama?

Ohio State played a very respectable schedule that year and earned a NC bid. Yes, we got blown out, but at least we beat very good football teams to get there.
