1. Pryor played the best game of his career. He threw some balls late and threw some ducks, he's not there yet, but I was pleased.

2. The defense played very well. Not great, there was some sloppy tackling and the line stop getting any push up front for the middle part of the game, but to hold Oregon to 17 points and 260 yards is impressive.

3. I couldn't understand why Herron got so many carries. He was awful. Saine wasn't much better, but how many times do you need to see Herron run right into Boren's rear end to know that you ought to try someone else in there?

4. Loved the defensive playcalling. Liked the offensive playcalling for the most part.

5. The special teams outside of the field goal unit were horrible. They couldn't return a kick or cover one. Barclay was pitiful on kickoffs. Low line drives to the ten or fifteen yard line will always be easy to return. With a typical Tressel special teams unit, Oregon might not get to ten points.

6. Five BCS Bowl wins. Only USC has more. Florida can (probably will) match them tonight. Can't complain about that.

First the play calling was aggressisve on both sides of the ball. That was big. Secondly Pryor only threw a few really bad passes. The INT is a TD if he leads the reciever. All though I realize because he didn't see the safety it probably looked to him as if he got it over the defender. The second bad throw was on 3-13. He just heaved it up into coverage to avoid a sack. If Ballard hadn't made the catch of the night that may have turned out way different.

Overall the Bucks played well and if they hadn't given up so much return yardage on kickoffs the score may have even been lower.

I didn't see Pryor throw many ducks tonight. he stepped into his throws more tonight than i have ever seen him.

1. Pryor played a good game...no question. But for some reason he still looks like a deer in headlights when he has to step up into the pocket. I hope this game has given him the confidence he needs to have a great junior year...so he can leave early for the NFL.

2. I love Tressel but he still makes calls that make me scratch my head. For example, why run the ball up the gut when it's 1st and 5?

3. Hats off to the the OSU fans who traveled to Pasadena and filled half the stadium.

4. While the Big 10 is 3-2 in bowl games at the moment, the 2 games they lost were by a combined score of just 4 points.

5. Oregon has a sissy band. The OSU band kicked their duck asses. lol

Maybe we saw Pryor grow up as a QB and a leader. I thought he progressed nicely this past season. People need to realize he should not be the starting QB yet but when the dust cleared last year there was no one else. He was thrust before he was ready.

Pryor grew up tonight, and so did Tress to a point. Something told me after that first drive we weren't going to be denied. I'm so happy we got it done. The last drive to salt it away was incredible... 3 first downs and just mashing them up front

Imagine if Pryor was 100%. IMO he could have added quite a few more rushing yards by escaping tackles from behind several times by their D lineman.

I think he was still moving around ok for being less than 100%. I'm sure he's looking forward to getting that thing scopedhere in the next couple of weeks and getting ready for spring ball

Pryor, without question grew up tonight. We didn't see any of the tantrums or anything on the sideline from him. He seemed to have control and confidence to lead the team.

The Buckeyes came into this game with nothing to lose. Everyone expected Oregon to destroy them because they were so fast and such a better team, high scoring offense, blah blah blah. This allowed the playcalling to be aggressive and I think it allowed the coaches to really see what TP is made of.

Hats off to the D, they played a very good game... would have been great if it wasn't for the sloppy tackling. Special teams was disappointing on kick/punt coverage... Oregon was setting up with great field position all night long.

It is a win like this that really gets you excited for next year!

I was really happy to see OSU open up the play book....TP played a very good game and the defense was just as good...It's time to play some starters on the kickoff team. 2010 should be another very good year for OSU. The trip to Wisconsin will be very tough for OSU , you heard it hear first.

TP missed a few if not more easy passes for someone as talented as he is and the defense missed some easy tackles.

Like I said overall they played well.

he ended up 23/37 with 2 TD passes.... and he outgained all of Oregon's weapons by himself... give him a break

1. Yes, he played excellent.

2. They only gave up 2 long drives out of 10 Oregon drives. I'd say that's an A- effort. The important thing is that they made adjustments as the game progressed.

3. Herron missed so many holes today that I'm really beginning to question is vision. He had a few nice holes but would cut back inside, or vice versa and settle for a couple yards. It was frustrating. Not to mention he always runs out of bounds. Saine played smart. Towards the end, he could have went out of bounds and stopped the clock for Oregon, but he stayed in bounds and cut back inside for about 3-4 more yards. He ran hard.

4. Playcalling was much improved and probably some of the best of the season.

5. Kick and punt coverage was very disappointing, I don't know what was wrong, but that's something that needs to be addressed.

6. I'm definitely ok with 5 BCS wins.

It looks like Herron sometimes is trying to make himself smaller and hide behind blockers and then break a big one. You're not Jaquizz Rodgers. I will give him credit for getting after it as a blocker today... on that play Pryor got blown up on the Oregon sideline he blocked a guy 6 yards into the bench. He should just lower the boom like Saine and get it over with.

With all due respect, Citybuck, the trip to Wisconsin is always very tough for anyone who goes there. This win against Oregon will hopefully give the entire program a lot of confidence going into the season next fall, and allow the Buckeyes to take a real shot at bigger and better things in 2010-2011.

I'm curious to see how this win plays out for Ohio State next season.

With the play calling being opened up to what most people wanted the entire season and now having some proof that you can beat very good teams with the athletes OSU has, what will happen in the future?

Back to the Tressel of old? Or will he realize that conservative doesn't necessarily mean the best way?

I've already said it a million times and will continue to do so until I'm proven wrong, but I really wand to see Jordan Hall on the field getting carries. Each time I've seen him, he hit the holes quick, and ran HARD on every play getting extra yards. He looks like he could be be a really good RB, but needs the playing time.

With all that OSU has returning on offense, they will be able to do a lot of things.

As of right now the offense is losing only Cordle and Ballard both of whom will be replaced by very good talent.

Catch by Ballard will go down in OSU bowl history as one of the greats. That play at that moment was huge and saved the game IMO.
