yeah I don't know if you can think that way in college

can't just say we'll take the 3 from 45 yards

kicking is so erratic

What a huge stand by the defense after setting them up on a short porch.

I think that thinking like that in the NFL is flawed also!

I don't think they were afraid of the D at all, it was the right call to kick the FG. They need two scores and it didn't matter when they get them or how they get them. If the kick is good they have 5 minutes and 3 timeouts left for a stop and a game winning drive

That was the right call by Kelly regardless of the outcome. He needed two scores, and they were in his kicker's range.

It was only 4th and 1 1/2 though

I think it depends on how reliable the kicker is

We can only hope that a game like this for Pryor will give him a lot of confidence going into offseason workouts and next year. There is still no doubt he has a lot of progressing to do, but he has made some big strides since the Michigan game so far. Today he has looked more confident than he has all season.

He's had his flashes tonight. Ballard bailed him out bigtime, in what will go down as the play of the night.

I understand the point, but I don't think you want to leave those points on the board. And the last few plays the Buckeyes D-line had been showing some good penetration. If I'm in Kelly's shoes I'm about 100% certain I make the same call. Then again, I'm not a Division 1 football coach (and a pretty successful one at that).
