The USGA actually got it right if you look at the scoring. Only 5 guys better than +2, so outside of Kaymer scoring is right around par where it always is.
The sucky part has been that there are scoring opportunities out there, but no one has seemingly been able to get anything going.

I'll agree that Kaymer's play was an anomaly, but won't agree how deep the tour is. The tour is certainly different now... you've got a brand of golfers that are so mechanical that 99% will fold under pressure and none know how to save themselves when its happening. You have kids that have had someone looking of their shoulder for 20 years telling them whats wrong with their swing. None of them, outside of Bubba Watson, have any idea what's even wrong when it's going bad. Didn't DJ almost win it once and Fowler just shot -1 which was better than everyone but two guys. This was a tough US Open and one guy absolutely smashed it.
