No, I don't drink. It's been years that I have. I don't drink out of respect for my girlfriend's daughter. I don't begrudge those who do though because back in the day, I used to hammer down.

I don't drink unless tiernan's daughter wants to. And I don't drive drunk unless tiernan's daughter wants to fuck me...so I actually drive drunk quite frequently.

A DUI is honestly one of those things that scares the hell out of me. It can be financially killing, it can leave a "stigma" with you for a long time, etc.

When I go out I am either stone cold sober and drive for others, or if I am by myself and I have a drink or 2 I wait at the bar/restaurant drinking water for about an hour before I go back to the hotel.

I have only been drunk once or twice while "out" and my wife was sober driving. The other times I have been drunk were at home.

I don't know if it is the culture we are in, the fines, the moral issues, or what but I am honestly scared to death of ever getting a DUI or driving drunk/impaired at all.

Same here. Many people, myself included, are more scared at getting a DUI and teh financial ramifications over actually getting into an accident.

Many, man, many times, I probably should have received one. Not proud of it. I drive after having a few. Whenever I get plastered, I'm either at home, or my wife drives.

So after 40 posts I'm still the only OCer to have ever been arrested (as an adult) for DUI? Either we got alot of "Saints" or alot of "Liars & De-Niars" on here. I think we all know which group is the truth.

At one time, I worked a lot of shifts that ended about 5 am, and would stop by a bar in West Columbus that opened at 5 am (and was jam-packed by 5:30) at least 3 days a week. I was never pulled over, but I'd say that I drove on home at least twice a week when I had no business doing so (I'd say would have it hit a 0.12). I finally wised up after a near miss one morning with a school bus that ran a red light and realized the potential consequences.

At that point started going home in the morning to do my drinking.

Not a surprise to anyone capable of doing basic math. In Ohio in 2013, 0.165% of the population were arrested for DUI. If the average person on this site has been driving 15 years (probably a little high but close), that would mean you would expect about 2.5% of the members to have been popped, or (wait for it)...

1 in 40.

Only ever drove drunk in Athens, because I'm a dumbass and the cops are too preoccupied with uptown and Mill/Palmer streets. Unless you crash, you'll never get one down there.

The time I drove myself while blacked out was bad.


But I won't drive if I have more than a beer or two anymore

18 and blew a .168 cop drove me and my two buddies to a hotel. We were leaving a concert at Blossom. I was asleep at a gas station lol. Cop pulled in spooked me I started the car and started to drive away. Cop asked me how much I had been drinking. I said too much that's why I was sleeping lol. Had to walk 3 miles back to my car the next morning hung over as shit.
