Haven't really gone out much here in Huntsville, AL but there is this bar called Halftime that's pretty good and is definitely a hole in the wall type place. Normally just go to BW3's.

When I was in college in Tiffin - Murray's (RIP) or The Clover Club.

I rarely go to bars these days. If I do, they have something special on tap, or are near my house (aka walking distance). When I was on the east coast, different story.

Johnny's Tavern in San Margherita (between Upper Arlington and Hilliard) on the NW side of Columbus. Greasy, messy pepper cheeseburgers and officially the coldest beer in Columbus. Definitely a dive - but frequented by the occasion stripper from Private Dancer.
