Tribe try to get back to winning ways with this inter-league series at the Jake.

Kipnis made his return to the club on Wednesday, but it didnt matter. Hopefully he gets it going to add another bat for Brantley, the Tribes sole threat at the moment.

Just about exactly 4 months of baseball left. They have been playing well at home, hopefully that continues this weekend.

Rockies have been trending downwards of late, so a good chance to catch them.

with our Ace( Kluber): thumbup: going today....better win this one. It would be really nice if Aguilar can get comfortable up here..... Need another power bat in the lineup.

Just about exactly 4 months of baseball left.
We also need Justin Masterson to perform like we expected him to do....if for no other reason than to fetch a decent prospect or two if (when?) we throw the towel in early this year.

Every time I see "Tribe vs Rockies" it makes me sick to my stomach of what should have been (2007).

He isnt just our Ace...he may very well be a top 10 pitcher in baseball. And I am not just talking about this years sample size.

Pomeranz is actually coming around with the A's this year.

He's 4-2 with a 1.38 era so far.

This year and next I believe. So I guess not technically irrelevant, but moot in regards to the Rockies' trade haul.

Thanks.

I was slightly against the trade because I thought Ubaldo was garbage and we shouldve gotten more for what we gave up. But, it definitely worked in our favor.

I was indifferent at the time, and then I read that article from yahoo about the numbers and pitching prospects so then I basically just became a defender against the crazies (ie footwedge) and it spiraled into his whole misunderstanding of mathematics. I still didn't really care one way or another.

Yeah it worked out more so for us, but at the end of the day it was just a shitty trade for both teams, just more shitty for COL. Although if you place a lot of value on playoff appearances we came out huge in that trade because Ubaldo was one of the main reasons we made it last year.

I still look at it as a disappointment in the sense I always felt we could have gotten someone better for a trade involving Pomeranz and/or White.

Exactly. I am all for trading prospects if its gonna help your team make a playoff push (or in this case, a chance for 3 years)...but, we settled for UJ imo, Pomeranz alone shouldve been enough to get more lol.

Its like the Tribe felt bad for raping the Brewers in the CC (despite LaPorta sucking, that was a trade rape, imo) deal and have tanked on some trades since to make up for it.
