They were hellbent on recommending low-paying, contract work in random fucking areas.
"I have a great position for you in Cleveland paying $15/hr for 6 months!" Okay, but I told you I'm in Columbus and locked into a lease...
"Oh! Well I have another in West Jeff for 12/hr!" Gtfo.
The last one I dealt with put me in for a position at a company in Columbus and I heard absolutely nothing from them (or the company) for three weeks. They had me do a video resume thing. It was fucking stupid.
Never again.
IT recruiters are probably great for developers, but for virtually every other position they're not helpful.
Its almost as if they had blinders on and cherry picked "help desk" out of my resume and that's all they'd recommend, even though I hadn't done it in 5 years.
