Odd thing...there are no private/Catholic HS's in the county. The joke is come postseason time when a county foe faces a Catholic private school that the local school has more Catholics than those on the Catholic team!

I might be the only one that can claim this:

I live in southern Mercer County. I'm not Catholic. I'm not proud of this statistic. (I don't drink much)

I get what you are saying. There are alot of things to be proud of in the county such as low unemployment, low crime, great schools, etc, but this isnt one of them.
