No one cares how fast you run a mile.

You use the women's bathroom in the school you teach out. I'd say you don't really matter around here

Can't speak for anyone else but I've always been very strong. Been lifting for over 30 years so I'd think I'd have it down by now.

This is all bullshit. What really matters is whether or not you can leg press a ton.

It wasn't a compliment... it was more mocking people for bragging about their athletic feats of great lifting strength on the internet.

It's almost as bad as people who brag about their running accomplishments. Except not close.

At an individual level, most of it seems feasible, although only if most of those who didn't indicate their own size are big boys. For example, I played high school ball on a 9-1 division 1 team and the number of us who could bench 1.5 times body weight was zero (our 112lb wrestler was the only kid in the school that could).

I knew your intent. The OP asked a question so we answered.

I really only lift to be at peak basketball shape. I haven't maxed in a while but would guess I'm around 250 at 175 pounds.

I played on a 14-0 D6 football team, and every kid that was in the weight room throughout the off season most certainly could do 1.5 times their body weight on the bench. There was only about 5 of us that did spend that much time in the weight room and none of us were over 200 lb, but we could all bench over 300 one time.

For someone who is in the weight room 4+ times a week 1.5 times is not that hard to hit. Does it take a couple years from not working out at all? Yes, but is it uncommon among those that work out constantly? No.

With that said, at this time (almost 20 years later) I am about the same size and would be happy to get my body weight up.

Do you participate on an organized scholastic basketball team? If not, why do you need to be at "peak basketball shape" for rec ball?

I don't have to be, but nobody has any reason to be in shape besides being healthy. Certainly no reason to bench 300+. I do play against Kentucky players and the occasional NBA players every few weeks, though, so I'd like to continue to get invitations by playing well.
