The Pearl for Brunch - Got the Chicken and Waffles - delish 8/10.
Monday - Peking Dynasty (Bexley) - Peking Chicken + Dumplings - Good as always 8.5/10
Tuesday - Tora Sushi (Gahanna) - 1/2 off every tuesday 5-9 - Pretty solid 7/10
Weds - Boston Market - Solid as usual - 6.75/10
Food truck thursdays for lunch, hoping to get the Challah Truck as I have heard good things.
I am going to Max n Ermas tonight (like every thursday for trivia) and I'm sure my meal will be a solid 7/10 as it always is.
@Sportschampps and @Mohican - You guys ever hit up food truck Thursdays for lunch?

@#$@#. Katzingers is a crime against humanity. The owner lives right down the street from me and is a total @#$@. Also, they charge 10$ for a sandwich which has very little meat on it. Why I won't go to Easton? I can't stand the amount and the type of people that are in that are nowadays.
I forgot about Lennox. But I'm in Delaware, so it's a hike to get there and Easton for that matter.

Fair, although the Champps at Easton is far enough away from the main mall that it isn't too bad (crowd wise).wildcats20;1627791 wrote: Why I won't go to Easton? I can't stand the amount and the type of people that are in that are nowadays.

That is true. My gf's brother lives in New Albany, so when their parents come in we usually have dinner somewhere out the way. They love Champps, so next time maybe we'll check the new menu out.

You wont regret it. They raised the prices slightly, but the food has gotten 2-3x better. I suggest the Roast Beef Au Jus sandwich. It's huge and delicious.wildcats20;1627794 wrote:That is true. It's great. I had it for lunch today. There was about 10 food trucks there (normally I think there is more), but the selection was amazing.Mohican00;1627911 wrote:No, I haven't. Heard Hey Hey mention it on fb since swoop was there. Will have to check it out

Hot Chicken takeover is on the corner of Oak and Ohio. Oak Street isn't that bad at all. I eat outside there all the time and have never felt out of place. It's actually being redone and becoming kind of like German villiage. Yellowbrick pizza on Oak also has an awesome happy hour.
@OB1 I haven't had Danny's. Where it at. Where do the food trucks set up on Thursdays. I have tried most of the food trucks but my favorite are Myas Fried Chicken and Ray Rays hog pit in clintonville. Both of those are 10/10.

It's only open for breakfast and lunch on weekdays, but it's totally worth it. Best deli in Cbus IMO.
As for the foot trucks, they set up at the Columbus Commons.

He's right poindexter got torn down and osu has bought several blocks for housing of hospital staff around osu east. The poor are being pushed to the west and Far East side. From children's up to columbus state many many houses are being torn down or remodeled for young professionals to move dtown. I have friends who have bought properties for 10000 and are tearing them down and selling condos for 115k

Old Towne East is like German Village in the sense that it's a place where young professionals and the gay community are starting to love to move to. Oak St has some of my favorite places to eat and drink in Columbus. I'm a big fan of Hot a chicken takeover, yellowbrick pizza, and black creek bistro.

Ordered Peking Dynasty probably 3-4 times a month, at least, when I lived in Bexley. Some of the best Chinese I've had.ohiobucks1;1628193 wrote:Which Peking are you talking about? The one on 5th sucks. I like the one on Livingston...

Yeah, that's what I'm saying. I eat Asian food probably 15 times a month and I haven't found a place I enjoy more in Columbus. I've been to about 40 different places and the only places I think I enjoy on the same level are Double Dragon (Reynoldsburg) and Peking Dynasty (Bexley). Molly Woos (Polaris), PF Changs, Sakura, Pei Wei, Golden Chopstick (Hilliard), Happy Dragon (german village), China Dynasty (UA), Tais (campus), Hunan House (used to be better), Wings (bexley), Billy Lees (bexley), and few other takeout places I can't remember the name of, are all on a lower tier (for me).wildcats20;1628195 wrote:Ordered Peking Dynasty probably 3-4 times a month, at least, when I lived in Bexley.
