I went to the Food Truck Festival in Columbus held at the Columbus Commons. It was packed so make sure to go during a down time. BeerFest was at the LC and there were also food trucks there. I forget the name but s Brazilian truck at Beerfest was pretty damn good.

Hit Son of Thurman's a couple days ago (the Delaware branch of Thurman's in Columbus). I was full for a good 24 hours after that meal.

A friend just moved go Greenpoint, Brooklyn so I've been checking that area out lately.
Last night went here, Paulie Gee's....brick oven style pizza.
http://pauliegee.com/greenpoint/
It was good, not great. It was my second time and not even as close as good as the first. We got 5 different pizzas and everything just came out like it was rushed. A tad burnt. We still crushed them, but they didn't live up to the hype. 6/10
Tomorrow I'm going out for steak, also in Greenpoint.

I'm pretty stoked, I haven't been for steak in a long time and this place has great reviews.

Froggy's at Indian Lake in West Central Ohio.
It is a fun place, but you know the food service will be poor when there is a disclaimer on the front of their menu stating how slow their kitchen can be.
Just going for drinks/fun...place is a blast.
For food? Takes forever, orders came out 15 minutes apart, and the food itself.....blah.

I might not be thinking of the same place, but isn't it a hole in the wall bar?thavoice;1800771 wrote:Froggy's at Indian Lake in West Central Ohio.

Froggy's has the pool. It's probably the most disgusting place at the lake.friendfromlowry;1800937 wrote:I might not be thinking of the same place, but isn't it a hole in the wall bar?

Spent the last four days in New Orleans. This was my second time visiting, so we hit the main touristy areas around Bourbon and Magazine street.
Acme Oyster House - 10/10. Considering the crapshow that is Bourbon street, this place is a gem. We had a party of 11 show up literally ten minutes before they shut down, and they were still more than accommodating. I couldn't tell you how many oysters we had. I wouldn't touch the raw ones, I stuck with the charbroiled. Got a soft shell crab po boy, all of the food was great. Our waitress was great. Especially considering a bunch of drunk guys walked in ten minutes before her shift ended. We tipped her well.
Apolline - 8/10. A hipster brunch place on Magazine street. We basically went there for the all you can drink mimosas, but the food and atmosphere was cool. A nice place to take a smaller group (again we had 11) and sit and talk and drink for a couple of hours.
Coop's Place - 10/10. Best fried chicken in the city (in my opinion). My second time there, wife loved it so much that she went back two more times.

Boxers Lounge at Mohican Lodge. Food was fine. Reasonably priced. Nothing to write home about. 7/10

I've made the bottomless mimosa mistake before. Felt great for an hour, and then I wanted to die. So much sugar.raiderbuck;1801597 wrote:Spent the last four days in New Orleans. This was my second time visiting, so we hit the main touristy areas around Bourbon and Magazine street.
