What's your favorite. I've heard people talk about Harry buffalo and some place called melt or something.

I have never been to Harry Buffalo, and Melt is not downtown. The original is in Lakewood, plus there are locations in Cleveland Heights and Independence. Where are you driving to Cleveland from? Melt is very, very good and worth the detour if you have the time.

Of those I listed, I prefer Wilbert's. It's a hole in the wall with good drink prices. The food I have had there is good, but it was just a burger and chicken tenders. Mantooth likes their burritos, I believe. If you are looking for something fancier, Greenhouse Tavern and Butcher and the Brewer are probably your best bets. I haven't been to either, but have friends who like both and the reviews are good.

Trying to talk the wife out of going to The Melting Pot this weekend. Think that place is a ripoff. Hope Rodizio is the backup plan!

To add - Greenhouse and Butcher and Brewer are both very pricey. I've had apps only at Brewer and there was very little food for the amount you paid. Harry Buffalo has solid food, especially the bison burgers. Melt is lots of food and you usually have some take home, so might not be the best for pre-game unless you are able to get back to your hotel first.

I think the only time for The Melting Pot is for dessert. It's typically decent priced for only dessert. But, I agree, typically a ripoff.

Melting Pot Dessert is awesome for like $8 per person. A great way to end a date.

Yeah, I will give you dessert as a good deal/time.

The rest tho.......over priced, small quantities....and what a great idea....you cook it yourself! After the novelty of it, just not the best place to get a good value. I dont mind dropping jack on a great meal, but I want to get a value out of it.

We went to Double Comfort in the arena district last night. Holy Shit it was good. I had chicken fried steak and it was perfect. My wife had a breast and fried pickles and both were good. Desserts were also good and a decent selection of local craft beers.

I I still can't decide who's fried chicken I like the best so:
Spicy: Hot Chicken Takeover
Tradional: Double Comfort
Non-Tradional: Myas food truck it's got an awesome seasoning and honey on top that's great

Dark Horse Tavern - Byers Rd (725/I-75) Miamisburg, OH

We ordered the Brisket Melt Sammich (multiple BBQ selections - all good!) and the marinaded blackened shrimp skewers over dirty rice.

Delicious!

Merchant Tavern in Akron. 7ish/10. I just had a burger and fries, but they were good. There were some other things I would like to try there, though. I'd definitely go back.

My girlfriends had the chicken pot pie and one of their salads and they both really liked their meals. The soft pretzels for an appetizer are also really good.

My brother and I went to the bar in our hometown back in 2008ish and we tried to pay our tab with a credit card. The bartender looked at us like we were crazy and said, "what do you think is, New York City?"

He was dead serious. We were like no...but we thought it was 2008. Sorry.

I don't mind super old places that don't take card. It's kind of endearing.

Coccia House in Wooster is known for awesome pizza and is one of those old joints that won't take credit cards. They WILL take checks, though!

I believe we are going to try Peppermill Bar and Grille in Brecksville tomorrow. Any thoughts from anyone on it?

My boyfriend owes me hot pepper cheese sticks, so we are going to a greasy hole in the wall.

They're pretty legit.

To be fair, we would go to this bar any day of the week. It's not really a V Day dinner.

Did you take a bite out of your beef and cheddar, realize it was old, go buy a brand new one?

Has anyone tried the siracha sauce from taco bell? Loved volcano sauce so wondering if it's similar.
