Benders Tavern downtown Canton, one of the oldest restaurants in Canton.
Great luncheon menu I had the Grilled Pork Chop yesterday…. Perfect
They do a great job for dinners and special dining enjoyment.. Lobster, Clams, Bay Scallops and wonderful Steaks … the Chefs do a wonderful job… never had a bad dining evening. Be prepared to spend a few bucks but worth the pleasure.

Saturday the wife and I stopped for a quick bit at Zoup

Lobster/Shrimp soup was very good ... can't really say the turkey club sandwich was that great...
I go back on a cold winter day when I'm out for a good bowl of soup.. better than McD

Within the last month:

Lager and Vine on the square of Medina - good food and beer
Sully's Irish Pub - just a little bit further west of Lager and Vine on Liberty - good food and drink with the Irish flair
The Taverne in Richfield - kind of high end but good. Not so crowded anymore since the glory days of the Coliseum

That's my neck of the woods, and I agree that place is good. They just opened a Mellow Mushroom across the river in Rocky River that I've been meaning to check out.

I haven't had Mellow Mushroom, either. I used to be near the one at Polaris all the time, but never made it in.

Am a fan of V2 in downtown Ytown. Also recommend MVR if you're looking to get a taste of the pride of Youngstown. Not much else I'd recommend here though.

edit: I'll add The Upstairs in Austintown. Pretty upscale and neat place. Pretty sure thats where all the mobsters hang.

We went to Prost a new place in Reynoldsburg on Main Street. It's a beer and wine cafe. It easily has the best craft beer selection in the area. I had a beer from bells and actual brewery for like $3 each during happy hour. The food was good they have apps paninis salads and bruschetta. Main Street in Reynoldsburg now had two places Prost and Pies that could easily do well in the Short North.
