So let me see: we lose a playoff game to a Wayne county athletic school, then go 1-9, then suffer our worst losses ever to Wooster on our own turf, then our worst loss to Triway and we don't want to make a change?? If ANYBODY in Orrville is ok with this then it's the exact reason this program is on a one way road to a being eliminated! Kids don't want to play for the guy I still know enough people in that town to know most share my opinions they just won't be vocal about it. Wait though he is a good role model!?! Hahaha who cares????
Red Rider Nation, I do know you and your passion is in the right place. These are certainly HUGE events in the larger picture. I don't think it is what you are saying but "how" you say it? I don't think anyone who really understands football, and the history of the program doesn't think there is a need to ask some serious questions top to bottom at the end of the season. I do think it is just a little short sighted to lay ALL the blame on the coach without taking some other factors into consideration. When we do that it looks like we have an axe to grind? NOW I am NOT saying he is without blame either. I have heard more than one person say the play calling has been questionable (although the kind of athlete you have or don't have can greatly have an influence on play calling). I also see the problem with penalties and attitude. But I know of a few games when I played and we were losing badly and keeping your cool was TOUGH!!!! And these kids seem to have it even worse! When you are that young and KNOW you are playing for a great program and week after week you seem to fall short..... It's a LOT of pressure for kids just getting their drivers license! At the end of the day these are KIDS. In my personal opinion there just seems to be a lot at work in these last few years that are have a negative influence on our little town. That being said, EVERYTHING should be reviewed and evaluated at years end to see where we stand?
Just my $.4
