If Carmelo goes to Chicago and they don't have to give up Gibson, they are the favorites to win the East in Vegas. Right that's why I was saying take it with a grain of salt. Chicago doesn'y even have cap space right now. They would need to do a lot of clearing and would look quite a bit different if they were to land melo.

I don't know for sure, no one does. But it's hard to imagine that he will be the same player mentally, let alone physically. He shot 35% from the field last year in a small sample size but that's not good obviously. Melo has a reputation as the biggest ball stopper in the league, his whole game is based off isolation. 2. I'd be very surprised if we didn't have answers re: Lebron and/or Melo by the end of the day.
3. I just don't see how Lebron goes back to Miami. IMO, Bosh is incapable of being that solid, dependable #2 guy to pick up the slack. Wade played 2/3 of the season and had a limited impact, and he'll be another season older. As it stands, they certainly haven't gotten better so far. I think you could argue they've gotten worse.
4. God only knows what goes on behind the scenes. Lebron/Wade/Bosh/Riley could be working on some super-secret deal to bring in 'Melo, Kobe, Duncan, Brett Favre, Mike Trout, Manziel, and Jordan out of retirement. I say that jokingly, but obviously these guys wheel and deal on their own, behind the scenes.
