At the D1 level, Lebron probably puts up 40 ppg had he played college ball. He was a man among boys.KB0938;1642156 wrote:Lebron played HS kids, Wiggins played Division 1 college basketball. I would hope its a little harder to play them and not be able to dominate as much as Lebron playing division 2 schools in Ohio

About the only glaring hole you mentioned and made seem so bad that ive seen agreed upon by scouts is his assertiveness. He doesnt seem to have a killer instinct yet, but that can be changed. Hell it took LEbron a while to develop one.robj55;1642158 wrote:His handle is suspect, he got ripped at least 5 times clean in summer league. He doesn't create offense consistently, whether for himself or for others as a play maker. His defense was very underwhelming, he got beat a ton off the dribble and I'm not sure he has the ability or versatility to defend multiple positions especially until he gets stronger. I also question his mentality, he disappeared in a few games and seemed to shy away from the ball, can that be THE guy? He scored 4 points in the tournament game against Stanford in 34 minutes and only took 6 shots. You can't shy away from the moment like that. All of these things can be improved upon but there are certainly holes and question marks.

Wiggins didn't dominate in college. What Beasley and Durant did was dominate.KB0938;1642161 wrote:Still not even a close comparison to actual college teams. Comparing dominance of LBJ in HS to Wiggins in college just doesnt make sense.

Stop what? At that time, there was nobody in his league. He would've dominated at the collegiate level.KB0938;1642164 wrote:Stop

I was comparing Wiggins HS to LEbron HS. The only time theyve been on the same playing field to compare, thats all my first comment was talking about.robj55;1642165 wrote:Wiggins didn't dominate in college. What Beasley and Durant did was dominate.

40 is a lot, but he would have dominated and it's not even debatable. Did you watch Cuse when Carmelo got them the title?KB0938;1642164 wrote:No, just no.

Those are all holes, and when you are touted as a superstar they are glaring imo. I believe he will improve on some of this but you are downplaying them quite a bit. His flaws will show not playing with Lebron, which is why it would have been such a great fit playing beside him.KB0938;1642163 wrote:About the only glaring hole you mentioned and made seem so bad that ive seen agreed upon by scouts is his assertiveness. I know he would of dominated. I was saying that to the mention of him scoring 40 a game lol. He would of gone to OSU and nobody is puttin up 40ppg in college basketball, let alone the B1GAutomatik;1642169 wrote:40 is a lot, but he would have dominated and it's not even debatable. Here let me help him out against you. We'll not look at LBJ. Instead we'll look at the next best player Kevin Durant. He did play your "Division 1 college basketball." How was his year in college compared to Wiggins? Still doesn't even compare. But of course S&L will tell you I'm delusional for saying that.Still not even a close comparison to actual college teams. Turner averaged 21, 9 and 6 in his final year for comparison. Lebron would have averaged at least 30 ppg plus crazy other stats. 40 is up there though lol

People seem to forget how dominant he was in high school. The expectations of him being an IMMEDIATE IMPACT player at the PROFESSIONAL level were very high. I have no reason to doubt he would've destroyed his competition in college.

The Handle and Defense have both been listed as strengths on most scouring reports. So thats why I didnt address those reallyrobj55;1642171 wrote:Those are all holes, and when you are touted as a superstar they are glaring imo. Melo and Lebron had very similar rookie years. Melo didnt even sniff 40 ppgBR1986FB;1642176 wrote:People seem to forget how dominant he was in high school. Did you watch the summer league? Those are definitely not strengths. He's a good defender right now but he got beat a ton, definitely not lock down like has been stated. Handle is no where near a strength. I think he will be a star eventually still.KB0938;1642177 wrote:The Handle and Defense have both been listed as strengths on most scouring reports. Lol Kevin durant got bounced in the first weekend of march madness yet you just ripped on wiggins/KU for lack of success last year, yet they made it further than the first game (oh look, you were wrong on that again).namod65;1642174 wrote:Here let me help him out against you. And wait are people really comparing a high school schedule to a college schedule in terms of talent?

I personally didnt watch much of it, but im sure the people who made those reports did. Everybody whos a good defender gets beat, good offense beats good defense.robj55;1642182 wrote:Did you watch the summer league? Those are definitely not strengths. I just dont know hwy Cleveland gave all this up for an injury ridden, no defense playing star they could of got next year

Durant blows Wiggins out of the water when comparing their only year in college.
Love did miss a lot of time, but do people actually know WHY? A nagging hand injury. If it was ankle, knee, or something major like that I would be concerned.

This wasn't playing good defense and getting beat, this was getting blown by off the dribble consistently. Love played 77 games last year and averaged 26 and 12 a game, where else are you going to find that. He's not a poor defender either, he's just not a rim protector, rebounding is also part of defense and people tend to forget that. The Cavs are trying to win titles now and they should be commended for that. They are now hands down the favorite in the east and one of the top 2-3 teams in the NBA.KB0938;1642186 wrote:I personally didnt watch much of it, but im sure the people who made those reports did.
