Another baffling move by Bryan Price.

Why isn't Cingrani, Bailey and Leake pitching this series? With as much trouble as the bullpen has had, why wouldn't they use Simon out of there instead of using him today? There's a reason you take advantage of days off early, allowing your 5th starter to be needed less.

Of course, unless they are hiding the fact that they truly don't believe Latos is coming back at all and they will need to establish Simon in the rotation all year. Also, Robert Stephenson is getting crushed in AA. Not a great sign considering he was one of the guys many hoped could step in the end of this year/early next year.

The good news is...the Cubs suck.

I think it may point to maybe Latos not coming back as soon as they hoped. Didnt he miss a rehab start recently? Simon, or is it pronoucned SiMOAN (as Votto said in an interview) hasnt thrown too bad thus far.

Phillips looked like he tweaked something during his AB, but still able to come up with a single.

And now Phillips is out of the game

Looks like he's trying to minimize his stats on strikeouts looking!

As bad as it was.....we've seen Votto take those ridiculous swings and it's definitely not worse than BP swinging for his picture on the scoreboard 3-5x a game
