Can 16-13 UNLV play itself back into the NCAA field with a win tonight over San Diego State? No.

Is Dave Rice protected by the fucking mob? What in the hell is going on out there.

Im convinced he is the worst coach in America. Watching his "offense" makes my eyes hurt.

It was Wake Forest, but great to see Grayson Allen play like that last night. He, along with Matt Jones, will be critical guys for the Blue Devils in the NCAAT. One of those two will have to step up and help support Okafor, Cook, Winslow, and T Jones.

Henderson didn't get drafted because he sucked. Not because of drug use.

Having a situation where you're kicking a guy off the team midway through the year for rape generally hints at major problems with organizational control and character.

Not to mention, they just aren't very good.

Montrezl Harrell? Haha. Maybe the most overrated player. He's athletic, he has cool hair, he acts cool and talks smack, but he also throws punches and is generally not the best player on the floor...ever. Terry Rozier is legit, Wayne Blackshear is a Senior for a reason and Chris Jones is a poor man's Russ Smith (and he obviously lacks the character AND the game Russ had).

Outside of that, what do they have? They were a 4-man team, and 1 of those 4 produces about 40% of the time. No depth, no bench, very little talent and a coach who is losing it.

You can say I'm being harsh against a school I very much dislike, but it's pretty much the truth. They have some major issues after this year.

Pat Forde ‏@YahooForde 28m28 minutes agoY sources: NCAA investigating possible impermissible benefits to family member of KU's Cliff Alexander from NBA agent

If this ends up being true, is Bill Self any different than John Calipari re: Marcus Camby? It's the exact same thing.

We don't have any facts on this yet, or what it was, but Marcus Camby took money from an agent. That's it. Cliff's dad is heavily involved now and was always around during his recruitment. Not much of a difference...other than I suspect no agent, booster, runner, etc...is dumb enough to give anything significant directly to a player. Look at Reggie Bush and USC. His parents got everything and his parents were completely estranged or not linked to him (like Cam Newton's father was, reportedly).

We'll await facts though. Pat Forde is a blowhard who loves to stir shit up. What is the word on the KU side?

You really aren't legitimately trying to compare cal and self are you?
I've been drunk at the Bulls game all night so really haven't had time to look into it deeply. Whatever it is, I'm sure it was a dumbfuck thing to do.

I'm hypothetically comparing the situation.

Camby took money from an agent while playing at UMass. Calipari wasn't found guilty by the NCAA, but a member of his team, who he played, took money. UMass paid the penalty. It's that simple.

I never said Self had anything to do with it, but you see the similarity? The biggest difference is after Camby got in trouble, nobody is dumb enough to take the money directly (which is why I brought up the Reggie Bush and Cam Newton cases).

Boeheim suspended 9 conference games next year and Syracuse loses 12 scholarships.

The Scholarship losses will be pretty significant, as Syracuse cannot afford to miss on any recruits really.

However, "accepting" the self-imposed ban and not suspending them for the following year is still a major joke. Syracuse saw the writing on the wall this year, and conned the NCAA into thinking they were doing an honorable thing. Pisses me the fuck off.

So we've had open NCAA investigations at Syracuse, UNC, and Kansas, and sexual assault investigations at Duke and Louisville. Not a good year for blue bloods.

Charles Southern upset today by Longwood in the Big South Conference Tournament. Hopefully High Point can now win it and get into the big dance.

And become Ohio State's best non-conference win in the process!

So much for that dream. Big South lower seeds 3-0 today, and leading at halftime of the 4th game. Winthrop could be the top remaining team in the semis as a 5 seed. Crazy.

Murray State just survived Morehead State by 3.

And Harvard is down 2 to Yale with under 4 left in the de facto Ivy League title game.

I wouldve been pissed if Murray State had lost. Wouldve been this years Green Bay.

The nation deserved to see Keifer Sykes last year, and they deserve to see Cam Payne this year.

Harvard goes down. One of the biggest disappointments in the country. Preseason top 25 and don't even get through the Ivy (possibly pending a Yale choke in their final game... not sure of tiebreakers).

Tiebreaker, they would play again next Saturday. That wouldn't be too bad...

Harvard lost 2 games they should have won though.

Justin Anderson, the standout wing player for No. 2 Virginia, underwent an appendectomy Thursday, the school announced. He will miss the Cavaliers’ game at No. 16 Louisville on Saturday, and his status for next week’s ACC tournament is to be determined.

Louisville wins today..
