You don't have to declare for the NBA Draft until April 26th, but those that have can opt to return to college by April 14th. So if you're unrepresented by an agent, you can withdraw your name by April 14th. Last year it was April 15th, so I don't think it has changed.

I hope they fix this though. At least make them the same date, so you can see who all enters the draft and decide whether to withdraw.

I just don't see the Harrison twins or Cauley-Stein having sustainable NBA careers.

Sustainable or good? With Cauley-Stein's size and athleticism, I don't see him not having a 10-year+ career, barring injury. Now, how good of a career is another thing.

The Harrison Twins (and Dakari Johnson), I think many agree with you. Then again, all 3 passed up the NBA last year, when their stock was higher. Some guys just want to start a new chapter in their lives and make some money.

Good hire. Like his brother Danny at Rhode Island, I think Bobby is a coach on the rise. He could be elite one day. With that said, hopefully it works out better than it did for the last ACC guy.

The Harrison twins should honestly stay in school and get a degree. Good chance neither gets drafted

Thing is, many guys could easily get a degree. Even John Wall will get his degree from UK eventually, as he's taken classes during summer. Turning down even a chance to make an NBA roster, or make decent 6-figures in Europe for college, unless you LOVE college and think your stock can go way up is stupid.

Look at the list of NBA early entrants across the sport and at least 1/3 of them get ripped. It's hard to say I wouldn't do the same thing.

Getting drafted isn't the problem; its actually getting an NBA contract. Neither is a 1st round draft pick so I think they both get selected in the 2nd round. However a 2nd round draft pick is not guaranteed a contract and neither will get that. They will end up ballin' against 5'2 Chinese dudes for their entire life.

Stories like that always remind me that as good as it can be at times, a lot of the time life sucks. Enjoy it while you can.

You can get a degree at any age. If you want to make money off of athleticism you only have a small window to do so.

Sam Dekker to the NBA. Wisconsin rented him for 3 years. You know, like Kentucky did with that Willie Cauley-Stein guy.

Their ranked 57th and 80th on the draft board. Why not stay and try to develop your game more and possibly move up in the draft

A sure fire first round draft pick.

Because, generally, the longer you stay in school, the worse-ranked you wind up being because the NBA is all about potential. They don't want well-developed 22-year-olds when they can get raw, but super-talented 19-year-olds. Especially since a lot of NBA guys aren't overly enamored with the college game and its 35-second clock.

You could say that about the Harrisons this year. I did a bit of research and found they plummeted in a huge way after the Louisville game (Aaron: 2-10, 2-7 from three; Andrew: six TOs and 1-6 shooting), going from as high as first-round picks to completely off the board in some cases. The longer one stays, the more likely it is that reality trumps potential.

That is more like a lease than a rental.
