If by "breaking you down" you mean me telling her "I'll marry you when I'm on my deathbed so the financial transaction goes smoothly and I can leave you my stuff" you're right.

Why would guys care about your wife/gf being checked out.

If she is good looking, its gonna happen anyway. As long as no one orders off the menu, and only looks, I couldnt care less what she wore outside the house.

EDIT: Short of looking like a fucking tramp...but Im pretty sure only a certain few think Yoga Pants qualify for that distinction.

This is how I feel. My wife is way too good looking for me. I definitely out-kicked the coverage. She cuts hair for a living, and most of her clients are men. Most of that is probably because she is an attractive young female. I am perfectly OK with that. As long as none of the guys try to cop a feel, she can keep flirting and earning those tips.
