I usually build all my own furniture from wood I've cut down myself but when I don't...I go to IKEA.

I have an Ikea Malm bedframe. It's designed to use slats (which are crap) instead of a proper box spring to get that super low to the ground feel. I prefer box spring, so I got a low profile box spring and then reinforced the Ikea frame with metal brackets from Lowe's. Works great. I'll probably keep this frame until it falls apart.

My wife and I have a few of their expedit bookcases in our offices. I also use one of their kitchen tables as my desk at home.

What led you to that bang up observation? Because I made a thread about it?

Do they have designated parking spots for Subaru Outbacks at IKEA? I'd assume they're closer than the Handicap spots.

I have a few items from Ikea, nice bang for the buck. I just built a raised DJ table with different pieces for under $100, it looks and holds up great for what I paid.

That being said....I wouldn't buy anything that would hold a lot of weight from there....or "major" like kitchen cabinetry, bathroom sink, etc.

My entire cookie cutter apartment is built with Ikea garbage. It looks the part, but once you see it up close and deal with it daily...total shite.

Because for whatever reason foreigners seem to be obsessed with that place, and foreigners are usually a little awkward, and you strike me as a little awkward (hyundai, cat, etc). 1+1+1=3.

Oh, I figured the fact that I made a thread about IKEA would give it away. Silly me for jumping to conclusions.

I think I'd like you in real life. If you're ever in crAkron or Cleveland hit me up, and I'll buy you a Natty Light or two.
