Cabrera's swing looks terrible... Chiz's swing looks great...better than I've ever seen it. The kid is taking a patient approach and is swinging at good pitches. He had a great spring and it is carrying on thru the start of the season.

Going to be some hard decisions when Bourn gets back.....and two weeks later with Giambi. Chiz is probably is the guy who is on the bubble, but it would be a shame to send him down right now. You get get rid of a reliever...but who? certainly not Blake Wood who struck out the side in the 9th yesterday with 98 MPH fastballs. It was the only heat in the place last nite.
Probably the guy I'm least impressed with is David Murphy....but the guy has got a contract.
The other option might be to put Raburn and his tender knee on the DL for a short stint.

Great win for the Tribe. Pissed I missed the opener this year but I had to move to SC before Friday. Lot of the at bat app in my future. Anybody else wish they would just trade asdrubal for anything, and let Aviles play short?

Carrasco is not good. Leaving 90 mph fastballs belt high down the middle will make for a short day/career.

I've given up on Carrasco. He's just not mentally tough enough to be a starting pitcher. I seen this over and over as a coach, where guys/girls with tremendous talent just fall apart at the first sign of adversity. They lose focus and then little innings turn into big innings. Contrast CC to Masterson or Salazar, who keep the team in games even when they don't have their best stuff.

Carrasco might be salvagable as a guy out of the bullpen, who comes in to blow a hitter or two away, or to pitch an inning, and then get him out at the first sign of trouble.
