I'm not giving up on Kip yet...played the season with a lot of nagging injuries. Even if the Kipnis deal isn't as good as we hoped, they sure hit on Brantley, Gomes, and passing on Masterson. I, for one, sure gave them a lot of negs for not signing an "ACE" when they had a chance. LOL. Good thing I'm not in that front officeFootwedge;1657785 wrote:Looks like Kip's 52 million dollar deal is not the steal we thought it was. Seems like every deal like this we make ends up in the shitter. Remember e how excited we were when we signed Fausto to a lengthy deal? Management was wise in saying no to Mr. clean. He probably lost over 50 million dollars this season in not accepting 13 million. Next year I doubt if anyone offers more than 3 million per year.
Team should be pretty good shape with pitching next year.
