Revis still plays at a high level. Haynesworth gave up after the money.Commander of Awesome;1589591 wrote:Revis is the Haynesworth of CB. Lateral move for the Pats IMO.

Good move on the pats to get him for a 1 yr deal, but if I'm the pats I'd rather have Talib for 4/5 yrs than 1 yr of Revis. Just my opinion.

Agreed. They will have to find a replacement at CB and it most likely won't be a pro bowl caliber guy. Plus talib isn't as injury prone.Commander of Awesome;1589593 wrote:Good move on the pats to get him for a 1 yr deal, but if I'm the pats I'd rather have Talib for 4/5 yrs than 1 yr of Revis. Saw that Saffold failed his physical with the Raiders. Most seem to believe it was a case of buyers remorse by the Raiders.

I was reading the patriots didn't go for the long term with Talib because he's injury prone.like_that;1589595 wrote:Agreed. They will have to find a replacement at CB and it most likely won't be a pro bowl caliber guy. Plus talib isn't as injury prone.

Does anyone have a PFF account? I am wondering how talib and revis graded out last year.

This. $12M is way too much. I'll be surprised if he makes it through training camp.Commander of Awesome;1589591 wrote:Revis is the Haynesworth of CB. Lateral move for the Pats IMO.

Seriously, perfect fit for Sproles. That offense is going to be something else next year.

Will be interesting to see how it shakes out.dlazz;1589717 wrote:My gut tells me they'll regress in Chip's second year
No way Foles can have that sort of TD/INt ratio again so one has to expect him to turn the ball over more, but they also will have another year in the system with him taking most of the snaps from day one which should HELP.
NFL defenses are hamstrung by the rules in the passing game, but I expect defenses to catch on a bit. Adding Sproles is a good addition though.

Chip was never known for having a great defense. There was another team this past year who had an awesome offense and a mediocre defense.thavoice;1589741 wrote:Will be interesting to see how it shakes out.

Not even close last year, but obviously it's a case of tape > numbers.

He had some really good weeks early on, banged up his hip, came back in week 11 and wasn't the same.
