Though I imagine for $4.8 million he make say heck with the Pro Bowl
Just pointing out that he's a TE regardless of where he lines up. Didn't argue that he was a WR when selected to the probowl, now he's trying to claim he's a TE. Inconsistent arguements.

It's not about TE or WR, he doesn't want to be franchised at all, understandably.

I don't really see the big deal about the franchise tag for the players.

The NFL is a series of One Year deals anyway, can understand wanting the security of a couple year deal, but irregardless if you come out and suck/get hurt, they will cut you regardless (Barring a huge signing bonus/cap hit)

At least with the Tag you're getting a high 1 year deal.

Any word on any Browns targets?

I'd love them to go after Decker.

Agree, to an extent. If the money is right, anyway.

You lose the guaranteed money you would get with a new contract. Yea, you get a high one year deal, but a career ending injury could cost you tons of money.

I never said he was QQ (maybe you saw it elsewhere).....I just found it interesting the difference in the two and was unaware how often he lined up as a WR

If they would retire due to injury, they wouldn't get the money anyway. But I understand the risk, but it isn't like they get paid league minimum with the franchise tag, in most cases its more than they would've earned on the open market, barring a huge bonus.

Pretty sure there are usually injury guarantees in that guaranteed money, probably for the first 2-3 years of the contract, depending on contract length. No matter what happens, they will get the money for those guaranteed years, unless that player would do something stupid off the field to get hurt, like Kellen Winslow.

I know the non guarenteed contracts are huge when the CBA comes around. The $$ isnt guarenteed. I know at times teams come up with an injury settlement.

I would be kinda mad if I was Graham and got the tag at the TE rate.

On a stupid note.....whenever he is mentioned I always think of Moonlight Graham and say it in James Earl Jones' voice.............

Drew Brees has a 5yr/100M contract with 60M guaranteed no matter what, even if he had broken his neck in the first game of the new contract. Stars get those kind of contracts, of course position players get less of a guarantee.

Yeah, they are starting to work alot more guarentees into the deals, moreso than they did in the past which is a good thing.

Anyway you look at it, it is better to secure a new deal than to play under the tag.

No doubt, and that is why guys hate getting tagged.

Didnt they do away with the transitional tag awhile ago where it was the avg of the top 10 of your spot?

Surprised to see that from Ray Rice. I always viewed him as a decent character guy.

Spitting in someone's face is low, but you can't KO a bitch over it.

LOL NFL might be dishing out 15 yard penalties for racial slurs and ejection for a 2nd. What a fucking retarded idea.

Dumbest thing I've heard in a long time. When does it become a racial slur, only when it's said to someone of a different ethnicity or would black on black racial remarks get a penalty?

Not a big Cowherd fan, but he made a great point this morning.

Until the black community can come up with a unified opinion of the word then there shouldnt really be any action to the word.

Some hate and will never say it, some say it all the time, some it bothers, some it doesnt.
Hell..if they cannot even come to terms on if it ok or not then how in the h ell is whitey supposed to know.
