So basically it talks about the records that could be broken IF he keeps up his current pace.
Pick 6 is a fucking clown. One of those guys who gets, and stays, butthurt if someone disagrees with him.

Calling that article a comparison between Barrett and Germaine is beyond a massive reach. Get a clue dudePick6;1654888 wrote:11w now comparing Barrett to Joe Germaine.

I actually kinda like J.T. Not nearly as dynamic as Braxton, but by his senior year, he should be dirty.

I can't see how any Buckeye fan couldn't like JT. I mean, look at what this kid has done with not only an inexperienced line, but not having played for two years as well...I can't wait to see what the future has in store for him!

I like him a lot and think he has a ton of potential, especially considering, as Vball said, he went about two years without playing and is essentially being thrown into the fire.SportsAndLady;1654948 wrote:I think most like him
I just don't see the need to get all super-hyped about how amazing he is right now when he's clearly still a work in progress. He looked like garbage (with a lot of help from receivers, his line, etc.) against V-Tech and then looked great against a vastly inferior Kent State team. To use that game as some sort of "I TOLD YOU SO!" talking point is almost as stupid as the people who wanted Guiton to start every single time Braxton showed any flaws because of how Kenny G balled the fuck out of the 1-AA school. I mean, I noticed improvement in a lot of aspects against KSU, but I think I'll withhold any "he's great!" talk until he does big things in big games.

My post was piggy backing on ohiobucks' post is all, and was not inferring that anyone was hating on JT...and fwiw, I also agree with Heretic's post.

I wanted Guiton to start but not because of his stats, but because his throwing ability was better than Braxton's. Look, I love Braxton but the fact of the matter is this: in our two big games against talented teams last year (MSU and Clemson) we simply couldn't string drives together because Braxton couldn't put passes where they needed to be. His running ability won us games, but those were also games we would have won if Braxton was a better passer.Heretic;1654961 wrote: almost as stupid as the people who wanted Guiton to start every single time Braxton showed any flaws because of how Kenny G balled the fuck out of the 1-AA school

He was also let down on the other side of the ball time and time again, but we all know that.
I like our potential with Barrett, but I still need to see a lot more.

Most definitely. But we had the ball with a chance to win both games and both times Braxton came up short. Now is where I go on a little bit of a rant:Automatik;1654976 wrote:He was also let down on the other side of the ball time and time again, but we all know that.
We need a real passer who happens to be somewhat mobile. You watch the Eagles? Chip doesn't ask Foles to be Michael Vick on the read-run, he asks him to be Nick Foles . I'm sick of the Terrelle Pryor/Braxton Miller types who are amazing runners but can't throw and it causes us to lose games that are winnable for someone with actual arm talent.**
It's great that their legs can bail them out, but I want a freaking passer who can bail us out with his arm. Hopefully JT can develop into that.
**I know that sounds extremely spoiled, but as Buckeyes fans we're allowed to want more out of our team with all of the resources at our disposal.

I understand where you're coming from, but I still can't put much blame on Miller. The coaching staff and defense lost those games. People tend to forget that our receivers are very very average. Much like you want a QB that can be trusted to win with his arm, I want that freak receiver that he can just chuck it to.

No need to save face.
That was a terrible pass and be played like dogshit. I was also hammered and angry. I'm sorry I won't be jumping on the kid's jock after he lit up mighty Kent State.
Let me guess, you were all over Zwick too back in the day?

Miller, like Pryor, is an athlete who uses his legs to play QB. Neither is an accurate passer. Period. JT at least appears to be a QB who can pass, yet still run when he needs to....time will tell.
