That's kind of conflicting though. They've never had high attendance at spring games (and, BTW, OSU hasn't always either). Yet they are one of the most storied programs. Hmmmmmmm...how could they ever do it without 70k fan at the spring game?

There is no correlation between spring game attendance and rank of recruiting classes. In fact, I would say Michigan has proven that, no?

Glad you guys care so much about Michigan football. :)

Please point out who said that?

My LOL was due to you acting like it's not a "selling point".

While it may not be a major factor, but to act like it's not something appealing to a recruit is flat out wrong.

The same thing can be said about your infinite caring about OSU. Notice the thread title?

The first part of your statement is true. The second no one cares about. Well, except OSU fans apparently.

That's what I thought, but according to Rivals' Kevin Noon, Worley has been moved to LB; that [according to Noon] that's not it.

Or, great example, because Alabama has routinely pulled in the highest Spring Game attendances over the last several years, and by no surprise... they have the most titles.

Continue to sit in denial, and we'll continue to be ay-okay with Michigan no where near title contention. ;-)

Yes it is.

[see how easy it is to just make up statements without any facts?]

Is it that bad at Michigan that people literally don't care about their team in April. Maybe if they were still winning all those April recruiting national titles they'd be more excited?

Fuck Michigan. They've become a complete joke.
God I wish I could rep the sh!t out of this comment. AMEN!

"one of the most storied programs" is a historical reference which obviously doesn't apply anymore, and Fielding & Bo must be rolling over in their graves. You can spin it all you want, Webbie, but this is killing you or you wouldn't be responding.

If Michigan were bringing in poorly ranked classes I might agree with you. I find it amusing you all care so much about Michigan's spring game attendance.

You just showed a kid who attended a spring game. No where did he say that was his reason. In fact, he mentioned the staff and direction of the program as reasons.

You said it wasn't a selling point.

Why would they invite recruits if it wasn't?

Do you know what the term "selling point" means?

defensive tackle Adam McLean orally committed to Penn State on Saturday, a move that comes just weeks after the blue chip recruit expanded the list of schools he was considering.
McLean, who earned All-Met honors as a junior last fall, visited Happy Valley Saturday for the Nittany Lions’ spring game, which attracted more than 70,000 fans.
“It was crazy,” McLean said. “It was a really good to see. It’s huge. It’s ridiculous.”

I said kids don't commit because of it.

It would be like using the school's awesome cafeteria as a "selling point". But the kid isn't going to commit just because of it.

Michigan's recruiting has been just fine. Which is just proving my point.

Yeah. He said it was crazy. Then later commented on why he committed. He didn't commit because of spring attendance.

If that were the case, he would have waited to visit Alabama.

See post #464.

Comparing a nice cafeteria to a scrimmage attended by many. Poor comparison.

Please show proof that I am wrong. Show me one recruit who committed based on spring game attendance. Please show me one game that was won because of spring game attendance.
