Anomalisa - Charlie Kaufman's newest film that got some oscar buzz. I've been a big fan of his work (Adaptation, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Being John Malcovich) but this was a stinker. Only reason I finished it was becase I paid to rent it on iTunes. Skipable.
The animation was sort of cool. 3.5/10

I'm guessing this is different than The Room, then, because I thought that when I first saw the title and lol'd.Laley23;1790180 wrote:The kids voice overs about what was what in his mind...sickening. Teared up a few times watching that shit.

I went into it with no expectations, only watched it because it was the only thing available at the time.wildcats20;1794736 wrote:Burnt

I also enjoyed it a lot. I'd give it about an 8.

Same here. Bought it for the gf because she loves Bradley Cooper. Turned out to be one of the better movies I've seen recently.SnotBubbles;1794744 wrote:I went into it with no expectations, only watched it because it was the only thing available at the time.

I skipped watching this because of the bad rotten Tomato reviews, but it interested me. I'll have to give it a shot now.wildcats20;1794761 wrote:Same here. Bought it for the gf because she loves Bradley Cooper. Turned out to be one of the better movies I've seen recently.

I haven't watched anything new lately, but I did talk my best friend into watching all the Rocky movies before she watches Creed. She has been boycotting them her entire life, but I made her feel like an idiot for wanting to watch the new one without seeing them first. Hoping to get 3 and 4 in this weekend.

Never watch movies but actually watched 2 last weekend.
The Wolf of Wall Street - 6.5/10.
Thought the movie was decent, but Margot Robbie, wow.
Scarface - 7/10.
Saw it was on Netflix and never seen it so wanted to check it out. Knew the big quotes so was cool to actually see them used in the movie.

I had super high expectations for civil war. I'm not sure in retrospect that it had any chance of meeting them. I thought it was OK but not the greatest. I didn't expect it to be a remake of the comic book but there was just something missing for me.

I agree. Best Marvel flick so far. Black Panther and Winter Soldier were badass.TedSheckler;1795003 wrote:Civil War was fan-f'n-tastic.

Really enjoyed Civil War. I liked Winter Soldier better but this was a great movie.

I watched The Hunt earlier today. That movie is so fucked up. Makes me never want to talk to kids again.
Good movie though 8/10
