Dunkirk, 8/10

Entertaining and action packed. Could have gone without all the jumpy sounds.

I actually want to see this movie, just wondering if your 7 is inflated :). I mean, I know it's not Christian Bale, but...

Seriously though, I plan on see this one in the next week or so, looked funny.
Ryan Reynolds is hot AF but no, that did not inflate the score. It was just a good summer action movie.

Took the wife to see it for her BDay. Gotta love a woman that wants to see an action flick for her BDay.

I agree, solid 7/10. Not amazing but good and funny.

It was one of my favorite movies growing up (still great IMO) and when I first heard of the remake I thought, "WHY?!? How bad are they going to fuck this up?". While i'm glad that's its supposed to good, I still no reason to remake it.

Which got me thinking, what movies are UN-Remakeable?

How would ppl feel about remaking:

Star Wars: A New Hope?
Shawshank Redemption
Godfather
Forrest Gump
Pulp Fiction
Gladiator
Saving Private Ryan
Casablanca
Jurassic Park
T2
Usual Suspects

A move that is ripe for a remake: They Live.

The Rock and Terry Crews would be a good duo for They Live.

As long as they don't remake Lord of the Flies with an all-female cast!

My unpopular take is that all of the Star Wars movies are trash. Remake all of them, doesn't matter.

I'm not a Star Wars nerd in any way shape or form, but I've really enjoyed the modern star wars movies.

I actually consider myself someone who makes fun of Star Wars nerds, but I admit the actual plot structure and everything in the movies is very well done. Pretty complex for a sci-fi movie. I enjoy them all, but am not a "fanboy" by any means.

I am a star wars nerd. I thought 1,2 and 3 were better than everyone gave them credit for. (They really could have wrapped up Anakin's story in 1 or 2 movies instead of 3) 7 was such a rip off of 4, plot wise. It was entertaining and I'm sure I'll see 8,9,10 and however many more they make, but that part was pretty disappointing to me.

I don't know - is Star Wars actually too good to be messing around with a remake (ignoring that it's arguably already been re-made once or twice)?

Guardians of the Galaxy 2 - 9/10

The perfect amount of campiness done so well it's almost used ironically. I'm not a big fan the superhero-type genre, usually because the plots/writing are pretty weak, and GG2 isn't much of an exception but it was so damn entertaining.
