Transformers: The Last Night
Not nearly as bad as the other sequels (honestly don't remember how many Bay has spit out now), but no where near as good as the first.
They definitely tried to have an actual plot this time rather than just robots blowing crap up, so kudos for that.
5.5/10. Good, worth seeing in the theatres for the special affects, but overall average flick.
I am a long time Transformers fan (favorite toy as a kid, watched the cartoon forever, etc) and I was a huge fan of the original movie, probably gave it an 8.5 or 9 out of 10...the rest since then have sucked, no better than 4s.

The first Transformers movie was the first film (one of two actually) I ever walked out of the theaters on. I hear some ppl say they enjoyed it, and I can't conjure how. Total shit.
Not a movie but I burned through Netflix's new series GLOW this weekend. Was smart, funny, and wildly entertaining. Allison Brie being naked multiple times didn't hurt either. Marc Maron crushed it as well. 9/10

I liked the original Transformers. I am a big Shia fan, so that helps.

Lot of ppl love that movie. Just one of those things were my opinion is a far cry from the majority. I'm sure we all have a few movies/TVs shows that we love/hate and most ppl feel the opposite.Fab4Runner;1860324 wrote:I liked the original Transformers. I am a big Shia fan, so that helps.

Wonder Woman 7.7/10 (didn't like the ending much)
Rough Night 6.5/10. I laughed at a decent amount of lines, and Kate McKinnon is very funny. I just generally don't like female comedies.

I bought the trilogy about a month ago since I haven't seen them in a long time. Now I just have to clear a day to actually watch them.vball10set;1860434 wrote:ya think?

I do. Over the years, I have wavered between Godfather I and Fargo as being my favorite ever. Ultimately I have to go with GF I, with Fargo a close second. I loved GF II as well. I know some like GF II better than GF I. As much as I loved the addition of DeNiro to the cast, Marlon Brando is ultimately who makes the movie for me. Great, great film.vball10set;1860434 wrote:ya think?

Huh. Fargo is definitely a classic but it is not in my top ten. Different strokes I guess.Dr Winston O'Boogie;1860495 wrote:I do. Spider-Man Homecoming-7/10
Best Spider-Man movie ever made and they definitely tied it well into the MCU. If felt a little too much into the MCU at times like they were over doing it and not just letting it be a Spider-Man movie.
Definitely better than the McGuire trilogy and the "Amazing" couple movies they rebooted later.
They needed less Tony Stark and more Aunt May.

Baby Driver: 8/10.
Has everything I enjoy in a good summer flick: great driving, killer music, good actors, decent plot, and bank heists.
Ending could have been better, but was a fun flick.

My exact thoughts as well. Also, Jamie Fox was so good.ptown_trojans_1;1861840 wrote:Baby Driver: 8/10.

I've been really looking forward to that film. Glad to hear it's as good as it looked in previews.

I thought Baby Driver was pretty boring and was not a big fan of the soundtrack. Probably only a 5/10 from me.

Despicable Me 3 with my daughter. Not bad. Disney/Pixar make a killing off of franchising the hell out of this shit.

Nerdland 5.5/10
The Girl With All the Gifts 7.5/10 (probably would have been a point higher had I not read the book)

Gonna try and catch Dunkirk today or tomorrow. Wife is sick, so may be a solo trip. Pretty excited either way.

Not sure if it counts, but I give The Defiant Ones 8.7/10. Very good.
