We are the only member of the 5 win or less club from last season that has shown no improvement with their new hire.

Jacksonville has doubled their win total from 2 to 4 so far. KC from 2 to 11. Philly from 4 to 8. Arizona from 5 to 9.

Cleveland has gone from 5 wins to 4.

Turnover and new coaches are only a problem in Cleveland it seems because we keep getting the regimes that have 10 year rebuild plans where there is zero urgency to improve.

KC has a QB that is like 30-5 in his last 35 starts. They also got one of the best coaches in the league to run that offense.

You are seriously complimenting jacksonville on a win difference of two?? Do you remember the start of the season? They were the laughing stock of the league. Their schedule softened up a bit and they won a few games.

Philly had pieces in place, and got a great hire in Chip Kelly to run that offense. Not too mention, Kelly got his franchise QB to run his offense in Foles.

The season isn't over, and if we win out we improve on our win total from last year making your post basically retarded.

If I'd be upset at anything as a fan, it'd be the combination of bad luck (Hoyer getting hurt about about two solid/good performances) and that the front office entered the season essentially wasting a year of your younger quality players under contract with the dynamic duo of Weeden (pure shit) and Campbell (a vet who seemed solid as a sub, but subpar as a week-by-week starter) being expected to man the position. If they don't draft a QB in the 1st round next year and somehow the season goes off track it is going to be a shit storm of epic proportions in Berea.

Joe Banner would literally be re-creating Mike Holmgren's footsteps of being hired late one season, and then wasting 2 more without drafting the QB of the future.

If they draft a QB round 1, and start hoyer for the year. I don't see how you can possibly be doom and gloom about that.

I don't care about hoyer's stats and results, he actually looked the part of an nfl QB. He deserves another shot. And having a backup QB drafted in round 1 behind him, gaining valuable expertise here and there is so important.

It'll at least put us on the right track. And that's more than we've ever had.

If you look at the top QB's in today's game many of them were given some time to learn the game before starting right away. It really depends upon the person. Some guys, like Peyton Manning, can learn the NFL game while taking a physical and mental beating. There are other guys whose careers are ruined by playing them before they are ready. Players such as Rodgers, Brees, and Brady weren't hurt by sitting when they first entered the league.

This was the case back when they were handing out big contracts with enormous bonuses. Now that there is a rookie cap, it's much easier to draft a first round QB and let him sit for a year or two.

Also, I don't know that any Browns fan is saying not to draft a QB and let Hoyer be the guy. We all want a QB than can compete with Hoyer, but if Hoyer comes back and plays the way he did before he got hurt, it's going to be hard for a rookie to beat him out, but if they do, and the rook is actually better(not like Weeden beating out Hoyer), than it's all good for the team.
