They are wrong and the entire Black community needs to focus on GRADUATING kids. Honestly at school I have quite a few blacks in my 1000, a few in my 2000 classes, and literally none in my 3000 ones. That's right I've got two 3000 ones this semester with maybe 30 kids a piece, and no blacks. They simply are dropping out much too soon which does not progress them in society at all

LA has a black school it's called USC.
UCLA is an Asian college because they are just smater people in general. USC has basket weaving . that should suffice.

University of Spoiled Children is in South LA. The USC alums live in West LA, next to UCLA.

If it's that simple to break the cycle of poverty, why aren't more people doing it? To stay on subject, sure the federal government would spend more on shit school districts, it's not like the local property tax in East Cleveland is going to be of much help.

I think the states need to spread the wealth around as far as public education goes. For instance my old high school spends only $7k per student while a school like Westerville spends over $12k on each student. I'm not a liberal by any stretch but shouldn't a national program based on properly educating all children be a little more liberal in how the money is distributed? We cannot have inner city schools with books from the 90s and pay for play programs, same for some of these small farm town schools as well. If we set a cap if you will so the minimum a district can spend is $8500 and a max of $10500 with anyone over going to the poorer districts, we would see education improve dramatically. Wealthy schools do not need that much of an advantage, it's not private education

It depends on the area and school district, and how they budget the income. And how they deal with internal corruption.

Yeah I mean education isn't a business, it's teaching children. So I have no problem with them socializing it. IMO we also need a federal gov't evaluator of schools, that way we do not have states like Ohio saying 70% of their schools are excellent

Here in LA, the schools started giving iPads to all the students in order to keep up with the private schools.....I compare that with giving a few dollars to a homeless guy and expecting him to use it to buy food and not alcohol. it was only a matter of days before the kids hacked them or were losing(probably selling them).

More money spent per student does not equal better students

Examples:
1. Dayton Northridge: $12,433 per student. Northridge passed 8/24 of the indicators on their ODE report card.
2. Preble Shawnee: $9,938 per student. Preble Shawnee passed 21/24 of the indicators on their ODE report card.
3. Bellbrook: $9,670 per student. Bellbrook passed 24/24 of the indicators on their ODE report card.

My former school district ranked 27th most "poor" ($8,024 per student) and still managed to pass 22/24 of their indicators.

This 100 fold. We run a tutoring program in the inner city you would be astonished how many kids that can't do basic math, count money, etc. We even serve a meal for the kids because most wouldn't have dinner when they got home. But the are fitted in Polo and Jordans.
