Anyone picking it up tonight at midnight. This is the first midnight release since cod 4 I haven't taken part in. I'm going to wait for my xbox 1 to pick it up.

Potentially getting it (PS4), but I'm already getting Killzone and Battlefield 4 and not sure that I want to have 3 shooters at the same time since I don't have a ton of time to play them anyways...

I'll definitely get it at some point like I always do, but over the past few versions of the game it's become less of a must-buy for me.

Drove by Gamestop on my way to work and there were about 10-12 people out front waiting. Is there any type of reason for doing this other than the experience? Couldn't you just go to the store at 12:30 and get it just as easily after the initial crowd left, thus not wasting hours of your life standing outside in the cold?

Anyways, I'm going to pick it up sometime Tuesday. Idk which new console I'm getting or when, so I'll pick this up in the mean time.

By the way, I played some of BF4 over the weekend. What a POS game.

^I went to GameStop for a midnight release of NCAA Football a few years ago. It was surprisingly packed. They were taking numbers, so I was like F that. I drove to Wal-Mart walked right in, purchased the game and left. No waiting.

Yeah I waited like 10 minutes at Walmart compared to waiting maybe an hour outside at Gamestop. Pretty cool game so far and I like the story a lot

Stopping at Walmart after work in an hour to pick it up for my son. He's gonna have a long day at school knowing the game is at home waiting to be played.

It's kind of getting hammered on the review sites, sitting at about 73-75 on the review sites, which would probably make it the lowest rated COD game according to critics.

BF>COD and it ain't close. I used to love COD. The first day I played BF, I never looked back. COD series doesn't even interest me anymore.

But it's all subjective. If you like a game, play it.

It's getting an 8.8 on IGN, which is pretty good but a little low for the past few COD's.

The past 3-4 COD games have been the same damn thing.

I'll probably try and scoop up BF4 during black Friday sales.

Yeah, but that is it's highest review from one of the major review sites. Most of the other web-site I check out have it in the 6-7 range.

I still may pick it up down the road, but it will be more of the same and it will still sell a ton.

BF4 should be 30$ at GameStop on Black Friday.

I always enjoy BF foe the first 2-3 months then it turns into snipers all sitting in the same spots each match. Then to kill the snipers you get in the helicopter and fly around and shoot them. Gets boring really fast. It's the better game overall but COD is more playable over a long period of time IMO.

I actually think this is the other way around. In COD, it turns into a camp fest after a few weeks. With smaller maps, and no vehicles, there isn't much way to combat it. It got boring real fast.

Now, I haven't played it since Black Ops, so maybe it's different. Also, I've never really noticed a problem with snipers dominating BF3.

This. Maps are too big to be dominated by snipers. And BF4 is amazing. The way everything is destructible is fantastic. The battleground is constantly changing. Especially on Flood Zone. Map starts with dry streets. You can break the levee and flood all the streets and buildings to the point you need to swim everywhere or use boats or choppers.

Haven't touched the campaign mode much in the last few games, but online is awesome.

Is online multiplayer on BF as good as COD?

Online BF stomps COD and it really isn't a fair comparison, IMO.

Yep. If you've only ever played COD, it will be a bit of adjustment. But once you catch on, you may never go back.
