Can't put any money on today though as Bovada's call center is down. Personally, I've never felt comfortable using a credit card and prefer wire transfer. Apparently, Bovada is being investigated right now over some dispute in the Philippines and have suspended certain services (i.e. call center). I've checked some bovada and poker message boards to see what people are saying and the general consensus is the investigation is not believed to be part of a future seizure of the site.

I don't have any money in my account right now, so it doesn't matter, but last time I did when the site was still called Bodog I barely got my money out in time.

I've been monitoring pretty closely over the past several days. Was really pissed last night when the call center was still down. OK State was a fucking lock.

As I said, I don't think the investigation involves the U.S., so the site should be fine. Somebody on some poker message board posted an email or something they received from Bovada explaining the situation and it basically said that it involved the Philippines taking action against Bovada for allegedly operating in a part of that region that it shouldn't have been or something. Not sure. I'll see if I can find it and post here.

I'm not too worried right now about another U.S. seizer of the site. As soon as the call center is back up, I will be putting money in my account.

Here's the email that some poker player posted a couple of days ago on another site regarding Bovada:

"As you may have heard, Bodog Asia has been falsely accused of running a numbers game to residents of the Philippines (part of our license agreement is not to offer services to residents of the Philippines and, therefore, we do not). The local police are, however, obliged to follow up the accusation and we are, of course, fully cooperating with them to quickly clear up the situation. In the meantime, some of our services are, naturally, being disrupted as our staff help the police. We are confident this issue will be resolved quickly with minimum disruption to our customers and we thank you for your patience."

I mean, who knows what's really going on since it's happening overseas, but it doesn't look to be a situation where unloading funds out your account is a concern. All online transactions are still open and the site appears to be fully operational other than telephone customer support.
