Not trying to be a jerk here, but you do realize that Alex Smith is like 27-5 in his last 32 starts. Yeah, most of them were in SF with a pretty good team, but 8 are with a team that was 2-14 last year.
Yeah, some of what you all are saying is true, but this isnt your grandpa's NFL where you line it up and run most of the time and the QB just has to make a few plays here and there.
I dont think the browns franchise, or fans, really should sweep his 27-5 record under the rug when ya clearly didnt have a legit QB on your roster. It is like a 16 yr old kid balking at getting a Honda Accord from his parents for his 16th birthday instead of a mustang. Yeah, one is much sexier, but the other will do a great job for ya.
