Jaylen Brown and Daniel Giddens are teammates, but UK hasn't really looked at Giddens at all despite them being huge on Brown lately.
Then I pray Kentucky gets booked up so he goes to Ohio State, haha. I know Illinois is hard on him as well, but if the choices are OSU or Illinois I don't see how he leaves the state.

Sounds like Bragg may be going to Findlay Prep. That's one place UK doesn't really have a connection. They got DeAndre Liggins like 6 years ago, but nothing since.

They missed on Anthony Bennett, Brandon Ashley, Kelly Oubre and Rashad Vaughn.

Don't cry. Wilson is pretty solid.

Looks as though OSU may get a commit from 2015 big Daniel Giddens of Georgia. 6'10", 235. Offers from KU, Florida, Georgia and Arizona. Said to be an OSU lean. Announcement coming July 4th.

Russell gets his qualifying score and will enroll at OSU this week! Huge sigh of relief!

Could be a big day for OSU with 6'`10" center Daniel Giddens making his announcement. OSU said to be leader amongst group that includes Florida, Arizona, Indiana and Kansas.
Announces at 2pm today. He would make the 2015 class a VERY good one for OSU!

Giddens commits to the Bucks! Matta doing a great job of collecting some very good talent for the future with a mix of talent who will be around multiple years! Hopefully he can real in some of the Ohio talent coming up as well. The program looks to be in great shape for the next 2/3 yrs. And with the addition of one or more of the Ohio blue chippers, could really put OSU in national title contending.

If they can get Ahmad and Bragg then look out next year. Guessing they'll just get Ahmad though as Bragg seems like UKs to lose. Serious talent coming in this year and next year though even with not getting Kennard and probably Bragg.

If OSU could add Bragg to this class, it would be a great class. I think OSU has as good a shot as anyone to sign him. Not saying they will. But as mentioned, other very good players such as Ahmad. The 2016 class is loaded with VJ King being the headliner.

Former OSU player Craft signs one year deal with Golden State. Isn't yet guaranteed to make team, but gets him to training camp at the very least.

Had dinner with the OSU coaching staff tonight (Matta and I were wearing the same shirt, I looked way better) and they told me they think they are going to get Bragg but they aren't confident about getting Ahmed because he is "afraid of competition". That doesn't sound like the player that I want anyways.

Also, they told me that they've lost 6 players in the last 3 years who had verbally committed to them, and were then paid off by other schools. Two names they mentioned were Anthony Davis and Goodluck Ana@#$@#$ (dont know how to spell his last name). Fucking 6 degrees of separation.

Also, I went to a practice this afternoon. Jeshawn Tate was out of shape but looked like the next David Lighty. He literally had a put back dunk that made the entire team freak out. Also, Dave Bell is reshirtted but GODDAMN does he look promising. The man is a freak athlete. The coaches told me that after his redshirt year, if they can develop his offensive game, that he could be the next "Tyus Thomas" that goes top 5 because he's such a freak athlete. Also the kid has an amazing story (lost his mom, raise by grandma) and has a greatattitude.

D'angelo Russell was sick and didn't play. Shannon Scott was OK, as was Thompson. The most impressive player on the court was far and away Kam Williams. The kid can light it up. He made 15 straight shots at one point in the drills. I wish he was a little taller, but he's going to have to be our 3Pt threat.

Bates-Diop certainly looks the part, but needs some time to develop. He could be a good one though. Also, we are really really long, so we are switching to a zone.

I don't know who you are, but I find it very hard to believe that if you did have dinner with the staff, they actually told you this stuff. Paid off by other schools? I'm sure Matta just goes around telling people that at dinner.

#1. It wasn't Matta, it was a member of his staff. #2. He actually doesn't have any problem talking about it because it's common knowledge around people close to the program. #3. It happened.

Also it is important to note that my Dads company is the #1 basketball booster. They were the ones who paid for OSU to go to the Bahamas and for the new practice center. It's not like he was just telling some rando.

They also told me a story about an player who ended up at Kentucky (didn't tell me the name) that Matta was walking around Campus and was an absolute dick to his mom. When they got back to Matta's office he told the kid that he was no longer recruiting him. The kid is now in the NBA. That's why im glad we have Matta and not some snake oil salesman like Coach Cal.

Oh and they showed me some of the stuff they show recruits, one of them was a sweet picture that showed Matta's stats in his first 14 years compared to Coach Cal, K, Izzo, and Self. Matta had 30+ more wins than all 3 of them. More 1st round picks, tied for most NCAA tourneys, etc etc. Matta is a legend.

Matta is a legend.
Cal will win one or two more championships in the next decade, and Matta will continue to not.

And there's no way in a hell that Matta isn't a greasy salesman. No good program in this day doesn't have one.

In my opinion.

Believe what you will, know for a fact that Thad Matta is the guy you see on TV. He is a class act and recruits like that as well.

Hey, I dont doubt Coach Cal is an amazing coach. He is not however, a good human being. It's not hard to figure that out, either. All I had to do was ask around here in the Bahamas and pretty much everybody told me that he is a cheap asshole and his wife is 10x worse. He is a damn good coach though, and honestly, that is what matters in CBB.

And along with what CBF said, Matta is exactly what you hear. He is genuinely an amazing person. He does not cheat, i'd bet my life on it. He doesn't need to. You talk to the man for an hour and you think he knew you his whole life.

Anyways, OSU beat the "Bahamas All-Stars" tonight like 81-60 or something. Kam Williams, Anthony Lee, and Bates-Diop impressed. Loving and Amir didn't look good.

David Bell is going to be a beast after his redshirt year though. He's already up 15 pounds and runs like a guard. I'm also pumped about Tate, kid looks like a baller. We are soooooo long this year. Our "small lineup" tonight, was 6'5 (Russell), 6'7 (thompson), 6'8 (Bates- Diop) , 6'9 (Lee) , 6'9 (McDonald). Oh, and we played a zone the whole game. It didn't look great, but theyre learning.

The starters were Scott, Williams, Loving, Lee, and Amir. He did a line change around 5 mins in (10 mins quarters) and Russell, Thompson, Bates Diop, Mcdonald, and Bell. Tate came in shortly afterwards.

Agree with your second paragraph. To believe matta has never done anything slimy is pure ignorance. You can't get to where Matta is with being a 100% angel.

Now, matta definitely seems like one of the good guys in college basketball. But come on, nothing at all shady?
