I mean, I don't condone it, but it's the way society is today. Especially when you incorporate a violent sport with likely alcohol consumption.

In my lifetime I've known 2 friends (one a Steelers fan and one a Cowboys fan) who have been in altercations, albeit minor, in opposing stadiums. Not that I am not empathetic for them, but when you wear a Steelers jersey in Cleveland or a Michael Irvin jersey at Veteran's Stadium, you're running that risk.

If you are an away fan, and you mind your own business after a game win/loss, then this shit won't happen.

Went to the Browns vs Eagles game last year and saw much worse. A huge Browns fan about 6'5" 350 was just letting a eagles fan have it all game. The eagles fan was there with his entire family who were all wearing browns gear. The little sister in the family told the guy to shut up and the browns fan called the 12 year old a ****. At this point the dad turned around and basically told the guy he would knock him the fuck out if he said that to his daughter and the browns fan denied saying it. Someone in our section got security but they decided to just warn him. Well about 5 minutes later he starts yelling shit again and another Browns fan seated between the two sides turns around and tells the guy to shut up. When she turns around he grabs her by the head and literally palms her head and throws her over the seats down about 3 rows. At this point me and about 8 other fans jump on the guy and start just going to town on the dude until security stop us. They still let the guy stay since there only 2 minutes left. As he walked out the dad and two sons he had been harassing the entire game were following him out very closely and I'm sure attacked him once they were away from the stadium.

Yes, this guy is an asshole. But, if you want to fight like a man expect to get hit like a man.

Yep. I've been to probably 10 away football games total, and this is absolutely true. There might be an extremely rare instance where something happens, but I've never seen anything bad happen at any of the games I've went to because people were respectful.

finally saw the video...my reaction isnt what i was expecting based on the description i heard on mike and mike and others...cant believe im saying this but i dont think the guy should get charged..morally hes probably wrong but those chicks did rush him and push him so idk in a situation like that sometimes you swing at anyone who gets in range or end up like the guy that got hit with the bottle a few weeks ago at cowboys raiders game.

I get that every fan base has it's assholes but as a whole the Browns are by far the worse than the Lions. I remember going to a Browns game when I was 10 and I never wanted to return again, so many fights around us. I think as a whole the NFL is pretty damn bad when it comes to this

My kid had two beers and 4 hot dogs thrown at him for wearing a Matt hasselback jersey to a lions game....he was 10 years old. Detroit is a fucking dump and those fans are slime

I've been to 2 or 3 games in Cleveland and other than some minor stuff that you get at every stadium I've never had a problem. You're evidence is anecdotal. ALL fanbases have assholes. No one fanbase is really any worse than another.

"by far" isn't something you or any one person could really validate beyond your own personal experiences

Your post is nothing more than "asking for it"....this board of 32 people is about half Browns folks, were you expecting to persuade anyone to your thinking with your post?

Your chest thumping about the Tigers offense gave you no chance to really enjoy this forum in baseball and then those statements leave a "win it all or get bombarded" outcome.....now you're calling the Browns fans the biggest bunch of assholes (by far)? I just don't know what you are expecting.
