I see the NGBA* is still scripting its championship play-offs just like the WWE.Gee let me guess the King Thugger wins it all in seven games after a lesser thugger hits him with a chair...anyone watching this shit is a complete moron.

You forgot to add turnovers to that list of stats. So you need another 7.

34 points on 34% shooting. The only chance he has at winning anything is if Durant carries him.

I'm relatively young, but I can agree with this.

Westbrook also has a lot of possessions where no one else touches the ball.

I don't think people should be excited about a pointguard that fills up the stat sheet first (volume scorer) and gets his teammates involved second. It's just not a formula that works, it can get teams far when the PG is really good, but those teams always seem to fall short.

Exactly. I don't hate RW but I can't fathom people who love him more than CP3 (Pick) or Durant (Rob, what the f*ck were you thinking when you said that).

Well you got one part of that right.

Both KD and RW with 7 turnovers. Mr. MVP lost control of the ball on the biggest possession of the game. Now, KD had 31/14 and RW had 34/7/8/6, yet both choked, again, on the biggest stage. It's clear they need another big man (Perkins sucks) and another forward who can score. Someone like Kawii Leonard would be perfect for them. The OKC window isn't necessarily closing, but I'm not so sure they have the brass to make the re-tooling moves like the Spurs did to become THE BEST.

Someone like Cleanthony Early or Glenn Robinson III would be solid for OKC.

Scoring's not the problem, executing on offense when it matters and getting stops when they need them are. GRIII is no better than PJ3. They have talent it's just that only two guys shoot the ball, and defenses know that coming into the series.

Westbrook is better than Durant? Did I read this correctly last page?

They need a true damn point guard is what they need, but theyre not gonna do that with Westbrook on the roster.

I wanna see them take another PF/C so that Collison/Perkins do not see the floor nearrrrly as much. Just Adams/Ibaka and whoever they draft. Maybe Adreian Payne, or someone along those lines who can step out and shoot, so that the driving lanes arent clogged for Westbrook like they are when Perkins is in there and just crowding the paint

Maybe I used the wrong wording, but he is their leader and more important player. He is the engine that makes that team go and the alpha dog, Durant is too comfortable being in the shadows during critical moments. Russell makes more impact plays, not only just scoring, coming up with key defensive steals and plays that Durant can't/doesn't make. That's all I was trying to say.

All the Thuggers are told before the season even starts who is going to win this thing just like the the WWE does...they should call the finals the Ultimate Thugger Smackdown or some such shit.

Wow so many places to start uhm...

1) Durant is the alpha dog and it's no question. Look how efficiently apeshit he went when RW was out. RW can't even dream of the efficiency Durant brings to the table. But you obviously don't care about efficiency, just numbers.

2) Durant is only "in the shadows" on important plays because RW gets the inbound pass and the ball never leaves his hand. It's not that Durant isn't proactive enough, RW becomes a complete ball stopper. Hard for the 2nd best player in the league to get shots off when the 2nd best player on his team won't get him the ball. Not can't, won't (though the Spurs did do a good job of denying Durant the ball).

3) RW makes defensive plays that Durant doesn't because RW plays wildly on defense, often to the detriment of the team. Sure he makes plays, but only people who truly pay attention to the game realize that for every awesome RW defensive play there are 3 plays where he completely leaves the team out of position because he gambled wildly. You don't see Durant do that because Durant plays defense within the team system and is actually quite above average at it due to his length. RW was getting so completely owned by TP that OKC had to put Reggie Jackson on him.

I'm still watching this over that immediate post-Jordan era where you had the lockout and the (to a lesser extent) following 5-6 year span of the Spurs/Lakers completely dominating whatever the east could throw at them (50-win teams like the Nets and Pacers).

I'm not sure why people say that? What do people want? Likeable stars? Titles since 1980...

Lakers - 10
Bulls - 6
Spurs - 4
Celtics - 4
Pistons - 3
Heat - 3
Rockets - 2

Only the Mavericks in 2011 and the Sixers in 1983 won solo titles, and each beat a dynasty to do so.

People (and by that I mean anybody with half a brain...) want something that resembles the sport of basketball.

Since Tiernan hates the NBA and only posts on NBA threads to let people know how much he hates the NBA, there's no need for him to post on NBA-related topics.

So fuck that guy.

agreed. Laughable that the RW haters/KD lovers ignore the fact that KD had 7 turnovers. However, KD and RW aren't the problems. The problem is the lack of depth/options outside of them. Shame Lamb and PJ3 look like duds and they traded Harden.
